In Response to the Current Events of Death, Horrible Statements, Evil Doings

Hi all,

This morning, the Holy Spirit had me watch a film I had seen soon after we got the satellite dish. I know
why now and it relates to the below compilation I did earlier this week. The film started with the chief
doctor of a hospital having to treat a victim of a botched abortion. The public hospital administration was
ready to approve doing abortions and the Christian chief doctor was getting ready to propose a counter
policy. The Hospital administrator ridiculed the doctor’s Christian beliefs. The doctor was a widower
with a daughter who had rejected accepting Jesus Christ and the Gospel at the funeral of her mother. Her
aunt had witnessed to her. The daughter had got pregnant from her former athlete boyfriend. He refused
to talk to her in private and her drama teacher suggested that she have an abortion because if she didn’t
she would not be able to accept the scholarship to the acting academy she had applied to for after her high
school graduation. That night, she could not get to sleep at the normal time and her father came late from
work. After she asked him if he missed her mother, they ended up having an argument about Jesus Christ
and the Gospel. The next day, she tried to talk to her Dad about her dilemma as if she was speaking for a
friend of hers and asked him if he could recommend a good doctor to do an abortion. He then spoke his
convictions against abortion and told her that he could give her a book about the development of a baby to
show her friend. The next night, while he was defending his pro-life beliefs to the Hospital Board and
proposing a pro-life hospital policy, she was with the drama teacher for having the abortion in a clinic.
She was given barbiturates, but she was haunted by her seeing the baby (3 months). She cried and put
water on her eyes in a gas station bathroom. The drama teacher had to knock on the door and urge her to
come out. Then instead of going to her home, the daughter demanded her to take her to her home. The
drama teacher protested because she didn’t think she should be alone. The daughter went to her father’s
study and looked at the photo book about a baby’s growth. She cried some more. About an hour later,
after they had rejected his pro-life policy proposal, the hospital board accepted his resignation. He had
served in that hospital for 20 years but could not be part of a pro-choice hospital and so he gave them an
ultimatum before the vote after he told them briefly about his Christian beliefs. Soon after he got home,
the drama teacher called requesting to speak to his daughter. He thought she was at a friend’s house (that
is what is daughter had told him in the morning), but went to her bedroom and could not awaken her. He
saw the empty bottle of the barbiturates and immediately took her to the hospital emergency room. He
and the on duty staff tried everything to save her, but she went into clinical death. He cried and confessed
to God his for not paying attention to her as he should have. He said that it was his fault for her trouble.
The other doctor told him to give her up and that she was dead, and started to usher him out of the room.
The nurses were crying too, but then the daughter started breathing again. The other doctor said it was a
miracle. Later, in the intensive care room, the daughter took of the oxygen thing and started crying. Her
father woke up and asked her to let him help her. At first she rejected such, but then he confessed his
wrongs to her. She said that he would not lover her anymore because she had had an abortion , but he
said that he hated what she did but could not stop loving her. She asked what about God and he
suggested that she pray to Him. She did and then wanted to know how she could accept Jesus Christ into
her heart and her father said for her to just ask. Afterwards, he said that they had a new beginning.
Would you give up your good job and your regular relationships with your children for your Christian
beliefs as this doctor had to?

Death can strike any time. Evil can too. What are your concerns about such?
What are you thinking and doing currently? in vain things or things that are pleasing to God? Please do
a self-inventory using the below passages.

Jesus Christ said,

1. Matthews 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
2. Matthews 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
3. Matthews 5:5 Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the Earth.
4. Matthews 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be
satisfied.
5. Matthews 5:7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
6. Matthews 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
7. Matthews 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons (and daughters) of
God.
8. Matthews 5:10 Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for
theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
9. Matthews 5:11 Blessed are you when {people} insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all
kinds of evil against you because of Me.”

Ephesians 5:15-18
Look carefully then how you walk!
Live purposefully {and} worthily {and} accurately,
not as the unwise {and} witless,
but as wise (sensible, intelligent people),
making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity],
because the days are evil.
Therefore do not be vague {and} thoughtless {and} foolish,
but understanding {and} firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is.
And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery;
but ever be filled {and} stimulated with the [Holy] Spirit.
Titus 2:11-13
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,
instructing us to deny un-Godliness and worldly desires
and to live sensibly,
righteously and Godly in the present age,
looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of
the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,
Who gave Himself for us
to redeem us from every lawless deed, and
to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.
1 Peter 1:21-23
Who by Him [Jesus Christ] do believe in God [the Father],
that raised Him up from the dead, and gave Him glory;
that your faith and hope might be in God.
Seeing you have purified your souls
in obeying the truth through the Holy Spirit
unto unfeigned love of the brethren,
see that you love one another with a pure heart fervently:
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible,
by the Word of God, which lives and abides for ever.”

Onward for the Great Commission,
