remote
Product Highlights:
The '5805 not only delivers staggeringly intense, dynamic home theater
sound, but also offers groundbreaking multi-room flexibility. You and your
family can enjoy up to four different sources in four different rooms at the
same time! Its ten configurable amplifier channels let you power speakers in
up to 4 rooms, with a huge variety of options:
Three 32-bit Texas Instruments processors perform THX Surround and all
other surround decoding for your main room with ultra-precision. A fourth 32-
bit processor is dedicated to surround decoding for your 2nd room. And with
thirty-two of Burr-Brown's most advanced 192kHz/24-bit DACs, this receiver
can allocate two high-resolution DACs per channel for 9.1 surround in your
main room and 5.1 surround in your 2nd room at the same time! For stereo
digital music sources in your main room, switch on Pure Direct mode -- it uses
four DACs per channel to deliver phenomenally detailed sound. Advanced
Alpha 24 Processing, the latest version of Denon's acclaimed upsampling
technology, enhances multichannel sources with expanded dynamic range
and frequency response.
The '5805 also offers some very advanced video switching and conversion
options. For starters, it's got HDMI/DVI switching for up to 3 sources with
HDMI output and one with a DVI output. If you've got a TV with either type of
digital input, you'll be able to switch easily between all of your high-resolution
video sources while maintaining phenomenal picture quality for each one. For
all non-digital video sources, the '5805's Faroudja scaling lets you send an
upconverted picture (your choice of 480p, 720p, 1080i) to your main-room TV
via the component video outputs. (If you've got an HD-ready TV without HDMI
or DVI inputs, you can use the '5805's scaling on all of your video sources.)
That's just the beginning of the '5805's incredible bounty of inputs and outputs,
though. It's also got a Denon Link input -- with compatible components (like
Denon's DVD-3910), you'll be able to send DVD-Audio signals to this receiver
digitally, for musical reproduction of incredible presence and purity. There's
also an IEEE 1394 input that lets you transfer SACD and other high-resolution
audio signals to the '5805 in digital form. Other connectivity highlights include
two multichannel inputs (one 9.1, the other 5.1), 6 component video inputs, 9
A/V inputs, and a total of 12 more digital audio inputs.
Auto Setup and Room EQ Adjust not only takes the hassle out of speaker
configuration, but also makes perfect home theater sound a breeze. Just plug
in the included microphone and place it in up to 8 seats in your home theater
room. The '5805 uses a series of test tones to balance speaker levels and
fine-tune the delay and EQ settings for each speaker. The result is
multichannel sound that's optimized across your entire listening area, with a
"sweet spot" big enough for plenty of friends and family members! The '5805
also detects and sets the appropriate crossover point for each speaker in your
main room, achieving a perfect balance of sound between your subwoofer
and your other speakers.
