“Father, into thy hands

I commend my spirit”

For me, “Father, into thy hand, I commend my spirit” which is one of the last

words of Jesus that really struck my heart. I honestly figured out that these words had

really answered all my questions. First, it teaches me to have solid FAITH in the Lord

Jesus Christ. This word tells me to give my every, little, thing to our God, just trust him,

do what you should do, and let God do the rest. Second, what if there are many problems

that will arise? This very word of our Lord Jesus Christ gave the promise that all our

worries are just a micro thing to the Lord. Just as the bible says, in the book of Matthew,

chapter 6, verse 26, it tells that God will never FORGET and FORSAKE us. Also this

bible verse tells that God is very gracious and merciful to us, even the birds and the

grasses he never forsook so much more, we, as his children will never be forsaken.

Sometimes we encounter many troubles and trials in each day of our life, physically,

emotionally, spiritually and even financially, but God as a sovereign being implies to us

that we should give all of ourselves to him. According to Proverbs 3:5 & 6 “Trust in the

Lord with ALL THINE HEART and lean NOT unto thy own understanding”, “In all thy

works acknowledge him and HE shall DIRECT thy paths.”

But God also gave us some conditions such as Joshua 3:5 “Sanctify yourselves for

tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.” This verse tells us that we as the

children of God must be sanctified and pure, just like the quote a use on my 2nd reaction

paper, “What would Jesus Do.” (WWJD) we should think seventy X seven times before

doing such thing in his sight, I believe that if we sanctified ourselves in the sight of God,

he is faithful and just to bring some things, as in miraculous and wonderful things that we

had never experienced. So for me just the last word of Jesus hath said: “Father unto thy

hand, I commend my spirit.” Give everything to God and God will do wonders among

you!
