"Will" se usa para expresar una promesa, una prediccin o algo que se quiere hacer en el futuro.

"Will":
El futuro con "will" se utiliza para hablar de decisiones que se toman mientras se habla:
Ejemplos:
I need to get my medicine. I will go to the pharmacy tonight.
Necesito comprar mi medicina. Ir a la farmacia esta noche.
I need some cash. I will pay with my debit card and ask for cash back.
Necesito algo de efectivo. Pagar con mi tarjeta dbito y pedir efectivo de vuelta.

Tambin es usado para decir predicciones de carcter general:

Im sure it will rain tomorrow.

Estoy seguro de que llover maana.
Gerardo Gmez will win the election.
Gerardo Gmez ganar las elecciones.

Las oraciones negativas en futuro (future tense) se forma escribiendo not despus de will.
La contraccin se usa frecuentemente: wont (will not).

 Shall
Shall se usa igual que will, pero su uso es mucho ms educado, por lo que lo podremos encontrar en
cualquier expresin en la que nos debamos dirigir a una persona que no conozcamos, a un superior,
a una persona de un estamento oficial, etc. Sin embargo, como hemos dicho el uso y
las estructuras de las frases son las mismas.
We shall be happy to see you Estaremos feliz de verte.
Where shall we meet? Dnde nos encontramos?

Cuando nos ofrecemos o sugerimos hacer algo utilizamos esta forma, dando entender a la otra
persona que nos gustara saber si le parece bien.
Im cold. Shall I close the window? Tengo fro. Cierro la ventana?
Shall we go to Puerto Rico next summer? Vamos a Puerto Rico el verano que viene?

Shall slo se utiliza con I y we puesto que siempre somos yo o nosotros los que hacemos las
sugerencias a los dems.
Ejemplos:

Shall I close the door? Cierro la puerta?

Shall I call you later? Te llamo ms tarde?

Shall tambin se puede utilizar con las palabras interrogativas para pedirle(s) sugerencias a otro(s),
cuando una decisin todava est por tomar. Por ejemplo:
Where shall we go? A dnde vamos?
What time shall we meet? A qu hora quedamos?
Shall we go to the cinema? What shall we see / watch? Vamos al cine? Qu vemos?

El verbo modal "shall" se puede en muchos casos utilizar para indicar futuro indistintamente con el
"will".

Ejemplos:

We will /shall go to the cinema Nosotros iremos al cine.

I won't (will not) / shan't (shall not) be at home Yo no estar en casa.

Como puedes ver el negativo de "shall" es "shall not" (shan't).
