Walkthrough Guide

This Walkthrough Guide document is meant as a help and to assist the user through a process for
reprogramming and/or diagnostics with the use of the OEM software. The content of this document may
change at any time. Any documentation provided by the OEM supersedes the content of this document.

Registration, Subscription and Installation

In Internet Explorer, go to https://www.acdelcotds.com and then click on click here.

Fill in information as required and click on Submit.

A confirmation email will be sent to the email address specified. Click here to go back to the Login Page to log
in.

Enter "Login Name" and "Password" and click on "Enter".

Read, scroll to bottom of Terms and Conditions of Use. Select Accept and then Continue.

Click on Service and Programming Information.

Locate Service Programming Only and click on the Subscribe Now shown. Other options also
available.

Click on down arrow and select term of service (2-day, 3 Month or 1 Year), name, address, etc., and click
on Continue.

Verify information, review License information, scroll to bottom of License and select "Accept", then

click on "Purchase".

Verify billing information, fill out Credit Card information, then click on Secure Purchase. The next
screen will indicate your Purchase and an email will be sent for confirmation.

Programming

Go to: http://www.acdelcotds.com/acdelco/action/home and log on.

Read, scroll to bottom of Terms and Conditions of Use. If agreeable, select Accept and then
Continue.

Click on Service and Programming Information.

Click on "Access your subscription". This will show only if there is an active subscription.

Click on "Ok".

Click on "Ok".

Read and click on "Ok".

Click on "Service Programming System (SPS)".

Click on "Start SPS".

Click on Skip. (Note: these options are for the dealership tools.)

"Select Diagnostic Tool" and "Select Programming Process" and click "Next>".
o Reprogram ECU: this option is used when reprogramming the original ECU.
o Replace and Program ECU: this option is used when programming a new or
replacement ECU. If replacing an ECU and the original ECU is available, leave
that ECU installed until prompted to replace. This will ensure that any specific
customer preferences that may be stored in that ECU are transferred to the
replacement ECU.
Note: the remaining screens may slightly vary, depending on which option you select.
The "Replace and Program ECU" option was used for the remainder of this document.

Read, ensure conditions are met and click "Next>".

Identify vehicle as needed and click "Next>".

Verify "VIN" is correct and click "Next>". If replacing ECU, enter the correct VIN.

"Select Controller", "Normal" and click "Next>".

This screen is used specifically for the "Replace and Reprogram ECU" option. Ensure
conditions are met, as applicable and click "Next>".

Refer to the "Current Calibration" and "Index" shown. If a "Bulletin" is displayed, double-
click on it to review. Select calibration and click "Next>".

Summary screen of previous selections. Click "Next>".

Programming! Files are downloaded from the GM servers and then uploaded onto the
ECU.

"Programming Complete"! Refer to information provided, but especially to the "Post


Programming Instructions" and "Controller Specific Instructions". "Clear DTCs" is
available as well as "Proceed with same VIN" if another ECU needs to be programmed
on the same vehicle. Select "New" to proceed for another vehicle or "Cancel" to finish.
