FINECURE ZN10
(Zinc Naphthenate Complex)
PRODUCT

FINECURE ZN10 is a zinc naphthenate complex for anhydride cured epoxy systems.

APPLICATION

FINECURE ZN10 is a catalyst for curing of epoxy resin system. It is suitable for
manufacture of epoxy pre-pregs, particularly mica tapes and mica composites for high
temperature applications in electrical apparatus. This is also suitable for making high
temperature resistant composites for structural applications. Pre-pregs made out of the above
system have shelf life of at least 6 months at 25oC.

This is also used as a latent catalyst in VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation) systems. Finecure
ZN10 based systems can have pot life of over 2 years when stored at temperatures of less
than 10oC.

Cure temperature : 120/4 hours + 160oC/6hours

STORAGE , HANDLING AND DISPOSAL

Storage : Store in a cool, dry place.
Shelf life : As given above, when stored in original sealed
containers at 2 - 30oC.
Handling : Use hand gloves and protective glasses.
Disposal : Dispose by incineration or as per local regulations.

SAFETY INFORMATION
Flash point : Look for the individual values as above
Precautions : In case of skin contact, wash with soap and water.
In case of eye irritation, bathe the affected eye with
running water for at least 15 minutes, and get
medical attention.
