(20)Opening: How will you communicate what, how, why is about to happen? Hook?
TW greet students at the door. SW walk in following entering procedure, picking
up classwork packet with malleable intelligence article. TW record entering
procedure time on board.

SW complete “Do Now”. TW take attendance and check off homework.

Continue with procedure until it is done correctly, silently, and quickly

Team building – SW work with their country team to come up with a country
team cheer & present to class to use when they win the country team
competition for the day – RULES 1. Must be positive & respectful 2. Must be
under 3 seconds 3. Must be all noises – no words – TIME – 3min – be clear ahead
of time that when lights are flicked all talking should stop

Teacher asks - what do you think of when think of professionals? Students share
Students take notes on benefits of being a professional
What do you think happens if a professional …is not on time? How does a
professional show that they are listening respectful?( looking at the person who
is talking-TRACKTHE SPEAKER) What happens if a professional goes to work
unprepared? What happens if a professional is caught by boss seeming
unfocused? What are ways we show we are unfocused in class?(cell.ipod

NEW VOCAB – take notes
- Teacher says the class command & does gesture– students repeat gesture
- TW say command & gesture while SW repeat the word AND GESTURE

TW explain rules for “Simon says” in order to learn vocab – when teacher says
“Simon dice + command in Spanish” students will do that gesture – if they do
the wrong gesture or do a gesture when she doesn’t say “simon dice” you sit
down & are out – last standing earns 3 pesos
EXPECTATIONS – 100% of students participating – reward on Viaje or with
country team points

Extension Option Team Building Activity – Levantense si…(stand up if…you have a dog, etc)
Independet Practice:
- Student will fill out student interest survey
