Its Finally Here - Saints & Soles - The 2nd
Annual Saints and Soles 5K Run/Walk &
Kids Run will be held this Saturday,
October 28th. Do you have your
costumes ready? Registration forms can
be found on Prairie Catholics Facebook
page, or the morning of the run! Hope to
see you there.
Iowa Basic Testing - Iowa Basic Testing
has begun in the elementary classrooms.
We are planning on being done with
testing by November 14th. The middle
school teachers will be testing on
November 7th, and 9th in the morning,
November 8th in the afternoon. No band
on Wednesday.
Safety Patrol Thanks to Police Chief
Chad Abram for coming to Prairie
Catholic and swearing in the 8th Grade
Safety Patrol students.

Washington D.C. Meeting The
Washington DC planning meeting is
tonight, Thursday, October 26th, at
6:30pm. Our Legacy guide Amy
Hameister will be in Prairie du Chien to
discuss the trip. This is a mandatory
meeting for all planning on attending
the trip.
Veterans Day Program Beginning on
November 2nd, all pictures and projects
will be displayed and will remain up for
the month of November. On Monday,
November 13th, Prairie Catholic will
have a special Veterans Day Program
starting at 2:00 pm. The program will
last around 45 minutes. This is open to
the public.
Bake Sale Dont forget that tomorrow
the Student Council will be sponsoring
a bake sale for students.
Conferences Parent/teacher
conferences are Thursday, November
9th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. You will be
meeting with one or more of your
childrens teachers for a conference.
The individual conference provides a
chance for you and the teacher to
discuss the progress and potential of
your child. If you are having trouble
signing up, please contact the school
office.
Halloween Party Prairie Catholic will be
having their Halloween party on Tuesday,
October 31st. Students will change into their
costumes at approximately 12:45 pm. The
Student Council will have games, haunted
house and dance party for students. We will
have a movie for students to enjoy. Please
remember costumes cannot be bloody, gory
or in poor taste. The dress code still applies for
the costumes.
Colder Weather We may not have wanted it,
but the weather has turned more fall like. With
that, please send your student to school
prepared to be outside in the morning and for
recess. Coats, hats and gloves are a good
idea!
Truancy - The school would like to remind
families that each student is allowed 10 sick
days per YEAR. Partial days are counted in this
number. Truancy starts on number 11, so please
ensure your student is here, and that all
appointments have a medical note for the file.
Farm to School On Wednesday, the third,
fourth, and fifth grade students had their
first day of Farm 2 School. The students
learned about the life cycle of the apple
tree, made applesauce, and tasted fresh
apple slices.
Starting in November, all elementary
students will be invited to join and enjoy
Farm 2 School.
