GA State standards:

BMA-LEB-2: Compare and contrast the relationship between ethic and law for a business
BMA-LEB-3: Explain and illustrate through simulation the process by which a legal dispute is resolved for a
business and personal issue.

Each group will create a poster that represents their particular court. You can work in groups of
2-3. My observation of your contribution to the project will be part of your grade.

Please use the construction paper, card stock, and art supplies available.

The poster should include a list of the types of cases this particular court hears --- jurisdiction.
How are the judges appointed/elected? Who are the judges? Terms of judges? Location of
courts? How many? When in session? Interesting facts (first woman judge, first minority
judge, cost to file case). Groups should also come up with 2-3 examples of scenarios or actual
cases heard in this court. Use pictures, graph, diagrams, maps, etc.

Create at least 3 questions that can be answered by looking at your poster. Email me both the
questions and answers at smoultrie@forsyth.k12.ga.us

Groups will then be asked to present their court.
