The purpose of this document is to outline the steps required to install the Half-door protection system & FOPS on a
Jeffrey utility vehicle or personnel carrier unit.
(NOTE: For units with no rear FOPS, only follow steps and information required for front)

STEP 1 - Park the vehicle on flat stable ground

in such a way that it may not
be accidentaly moved.
STEP 2 - Remove the braces from the ROPS
system. Keep the hardware for installation
of the new braces. Fig. FI201

STEP 6 - Assemble the front hinges and mount

to the front FOPS as shown using 4ea.

16 " UNC X 1" bolts, flatwashers, and lockwashers
for each hinge assembly. (Fig. FI204, Fig. FI205)

STEP 3 - Install the new braces as shown using the

original hardware in the original mount holes.
Drill 1 additional mount hole in operator
1 1
compartment as shown. Use 1pc. 2 "unc X 1 2 " bolt,
2 pcs. flatwashers, 1pc. lock washer, and 1pc. nut
as shown. (Fig. FI202)

STEP 4 - Torque the 4 UNC bolts on the ROPS braces to
250 ft/lbs

STEP 5 - Install the front FOPS using 4pcs 2 " unc X 2" bolts
with 2 flat washers, a lock washer, and a nut/bolt

(lower mount hardware). Use 4pcs 2 " unc X 6" bolts
with 2 flat washers, a lock washer, and a nut/bolt
(upper mount hardware) As shown: (Fig. FI203)
Note: Units with rear FOPS use 8" long upper mount bolts.
(bolts will also secure the rear FOPS)

STEP 7 - Mount fully assembled front doors

to front hinges using hardware supplied.

STEP 12 - Repeat steps 7-10 for rear doors.

STEP 8 - Mount the doors' retention strap to the
bracket on the FOPS using the hardware
provided. Select the holes that retain the
door in the position that suits your needs.

STEP 9 - Mount the latch striker plate to the ROPS

brace using hardware provided. Orientate the
striker plate so that the chamfered edge of the
plate faces out. Fig. FI207.
Note: Use loctite thread locker compound on
latch striker bolts.

STEP 10 - Check door function and make adjustments

as necessary. Hinge mount holes and stiker
mount holes are slotted for ease of adjustment.

STEP 11 - Assemble and mount rear hinges (if applicable)

to the front ROPS braces. While mounting
the rear hinges, install the rear retention
strap brackets (lower hinge locations only)
