GENERAL NOTES (See Page 29b):

for options see page 29b
Valve must be trimmed as shown. Any deviation from trim size
or arrangement may affect the proper operation of the valve.
All pipe, 20 mm (3/4) and smaller, shall be galvanized steel
except when other materials are specified in the technical data
for the system used. All trim components must be listed for up
to 17.2 bar (250 PSI) Water Working Pressure.
Note 1: When using a water motor alarm, a strainer is required.
Circuit closer vent trim may be required when an alarm pres-
sure switch is used. (See technical data for the retard cham-
ber.)
Note 2: This location may be used for optional pressure relief
valve. Install 20mm (3/4) tee and listed pressure relief valve.
Note 3: If non-interruptible pressure switches are used, when
waterflow through the alarm valve occurs, supply to these
locations cannot be shut off until water flow through the alarm
valve stops.
Note 4: Component specified is included in Viking trim sets;
do not substitute. Use of components other than specified will
void any listings and approvals and may affect operation of the
valve.
Note 5: 20.7 bar (300 PSI) water pressure gauges are provided
with trim. 41.4 bar (600 PSI) water pressure gauges are avail-
able. Order separately when needed*. Refer to current Viking
Price Book.

*Some authorities require to have a minimum limit not less than

twice the normal water working pressure at the point where the
Trim shown with 8 Flange / gauges are installed. When normal water working pressure
Groove Alarm Check Valve, exceeds 10.3 bar (150 PSI) , order 41.4 bar (600 PSI) water
ordered separately pressure gauges separately.

Viking EuroTrim wet alarm valve part numbers are made up of

a combination of valve trim and options. The options are shown
Table 1 Valve trim part numbers on page 29b. In order to create the part number you require
add the option code from Table 2 to the valve trim part number
