Foreword
This commissioning manual is applicable only to the electrical connection diagram with
N3000 series supplied by us and applicable only to HD series controllers, with elevator speed
ranging from 0.25m/s to 2.0m/s.
! Danger!
1.Do not place any inflammable materials near the control cabinet, or otherwise there may
be fire danger;
2.Do not install the controller in explosives gas environment, or otherwise there may be fire
danger;
3. Do not remove controller components without authorization, or otherwise the system
damages may be caused;
4. It is strictly prohibited to install the controller in water pipeline or other places where
water splashing may be exist, or otherwise damages may be caused;
5. Do not allow any screws, bolts, shims and any other metal objects to fall into the control
cabinet, or otherwise damages may be caused;
6.Do not touch the controllers parts with hand, or otherwise the electrostatic damages
may be caused to the controller parts;
7.Do not touch the controller with wet hands, or otherwise damages may be caused to the
controller;
8. Please start connection operations after confirming that input power is really switched
off completely, or otherwise electric shock may be caused;
! Cautions!
1.Power terminals must be firmly connected with the wires, or otherwise damages may be
caused to the controller;
2. Do not touch the controller terminals or printed circuit board with hand while it is
provided with electric power.
3. Controller enclosure, frequency converter earthing terminal, motor enclosure and the
car body must be grounded securely.
4. Shielded cables of the rotary encoder must be earthed securely. Or otherwise elevator
comfort will be affected, motor noises will be caused and the elevator will possibly be
unable to operate normally.
1. The commissioning persons is able to read all the documents supplied with the elevator and
understand their contents;
2. The commissioning persons must be familiar with and master the principle, construction and
operating method of variable frequency, variable voltage and adjustable speed elevators;
3. The commissioning persons must be familiar with and master the control principle of PLC;
4. The commissioning persons should be able to expertly judge, analyze and eliminate the faults;
5. The commissioning persons must be careful and strict in their work and ensure safety during the
commissioning;

Let the machine room be in emergency electric operation state and shortcircuit the terminals in the
control cabinet: shortcircuiting terminal 304 with 393, 319 with 320+n (n is floor number), 401
with 820. Insert the plug JD2 for commissioning, and confirm that the encoder connections are
correct. Then, connect the main power supply for machine room power distribution box with the
electrical lines of the control cabinetL1, L2, L3, N, PEcorrectly, connect power cables of the
traction machine and control cabinetU, V, W, PEcorrectly, and connect the brake with the
control cabinet wires 501, 502, PEcorrectly.
Warning !
Before inspection, please confirm that main power switch and lighting power switch on the
power distribution box of the elevator are switched off and all the switches in the control
cabinet should be turned off.
1.1 Check and make sure that there are no barriers affecting elevator operation in the hoistway.
1.2 Check and make sure the pit parts of the elevator have been installed correctly. and the pit
should be keeping dry. If a hydraulic buffer is used, make sure that the damping oil is up to the
required level.
1.3. Check and make sure hall door and car door are installed very well, door vane is mounted
correctly and can freely open and close. A good sealing is provided between the hall door and door
hole, and there are necessary protections and clear warning labels outside of the hall door. It is
necessary to prevent non-related persons from entering the hoistway
1.4. Check and make sure that the guide rail has been installed and adjusted correctly. After
adjustment is finished, check that it is acceptable.
1.5. Make sure that the door machine of the car is mounted correctly.
1.6. Check and make sure that the car wire rope is installed correctly and fixed firmly.
1.7. Check and make sure that the speed governor is positioned according to related national
standards and can become operative.
1.8. Check and make sure that the speed governor, wire rope and tension pulley is installed
correctly.
1.9. Check and make sure that the limit switches for the hoistway have been adjusted if necessary,
and ensure their reliability, safety and effectiveness.
1.10. Check and make sure that the supplied cables are installed and fixed correctly, without
knotting.
1.11. Check and make sure that the wiring ducts are laid in a tidy and standard way, and wire ducts
should be connected using copper strips or yellow and green wires.
1.12. Check and make sure that the emergency exit and safety gear are installed and fixed
correctly and are operative.
1.13. Check and make sure that the traction machine is fixed as shown in the installation
instructions. If it is a geared traction machine, check whether the oil level in the gearbox is
normal;
1.14. Check and make sure that the encoder on the machine is fixed firmly.
1.15. All the installation work should be carried out according to the installation specifications
GB10060 of China.
Caution!
If any problems are found during following check, be sure to carry out
careful check and eliminate the fault causes and confirm that the equipment
and personal safety will not be affected.
2.1. Confirm the connections of L1, L2, L3, N and PE lines on power distribution box to the
control cabinet.
2.2. Check and Confirm the connection from the brake coils of traction machine to 501,502,401
and 803 in the control cabinet.
2.3. Confirm the connections of U, V, W and PE lines on the control cabinet to U, V, W and PE
lines on the traction machine.
2.4. Check if the encoder is connected with the inverter in the control cabinet correctly.
2.5. Confirm that all the safety loop device switches are reset and the safety loops 304 and 393 in
the control cabinet are connected with each other. If not, check carefully and solve the fault. Do
not manually shortcircuit the safety loops 304 and 393 in the control cabinet.
2.6. Check if the terminals 319 and 320+n (n is floor number) of door lock circuit are connected.
If they are not connected, find the cause and shortcircuiting of terminals in the control cabinet is
prohibited.
2.7. Make sure that the wiring for inspection box of car top is correct, ON/OFF logic of the
inspection circuit is correct.
2.8. Lighting circuit is connected correctly, and there are no shortcircuiting and circuit
disconnections;
2.9. Check and make sure that the power cables and signal lines of door machine are connected
correctly.
2.10. Check and confirm that the operation panel is wired correctly;
2.11. The insulation resistance between earth wire and different terminals (including power cable
and control cable) should comply with the international standards. If any discrepancy exists,
immediately check and find possible faults.
2.12. All the earthing wires must be connected to the grounding terminal block in the control
cabinet and must not be grounded separately. Secure grounding should be ensured.
3.1. Check and Confirm that the inspection switch on the control cabinet is changed over to
emergency electric status, and switch the inspection switch on the inspection box on car top
to normal state.
3.2. Check the input voltage of 3-phase and 5-wire system. 3-phase voltage should be
380VAC7%, with phase difference not more than 15VAC, and the voltage between each
phase and zero line should be 220VAC7%.
3.3. Power up and start commissioning after confirming that power supply is normal.
3.4. Close the power switch, and power indicator lamp and Normal indicator lamp in the phase
sequence relay in the control cabinet should come on. If the power indicator lamp does not
come on, the three-power supply voltage is not input to the phase sequence relay. If
Normal indicator lamp does not come on, there is phase error in the input three-phase
power supply. Please continue the commissioning by exchanging any two of the three
incoming phase lines after the power supply is switched off or other faults are eliminated.
3.5. Check all safety contact switches: in normal state, contactor KMS makes and then operate all
safety contact switches one by one so that KMS breaks. Following safety contact switches
can release KMS:

Adjust related parameter of the door machine according to the debugging illustration for door
machine components to ensure that the door lock circuit is effective. See appendix 4 for detailed
adjusting parameters.
5.1. It is necessary to confirm that nobody stays in the hoistway and car top before inspection
operation is started.
5.2. Confirm that car-top inspection switch (KAD) is in normal mode, and emergent electric run
switch (KAG) is in inspection mode
5.3.Press Inspection Up (AGS) or Inspection Down (AGD) buttons for emergent electrical
operation in the machine room and at the same time press Confirm key (KNG), the elevator
will start to run.
6.1. After the machine room is inspected and the inspection travel is normal, it is possible to
perform inspection of car top if safety is guaranteed. Before inspection operation of car top is
started, it is necessary to confirm that the inspection travel lines of car top are normal, especially
that emergency stop safety switch of car top can function normally.
6.2. If it is found that the UP and DOWN button for inspection of car top do not agree with the

Attention: the following debugging can only be done after the elevator have been
installed.
Warning
Before fast operation commissioning is started, slow operation commissioning must be
completed. The fast operation commissioning cannot be started until slow operation
commissioning is completed successfully.
1.1. Necessary protection measures and striking warning labels should be provided in the hall to
prevent non-related persons from entering the elevator.
1.2. On the hoistway, lower limit switch has been adjusted correctly to ensure that it is safe and
effective.
1.3. Confirm that up emergency slowdown switch and down emergency slowdown switch are
installed correctly.
1.4. When the elevator speed does not exceed 1.0m/s, it is necessary to install corresponding upper
limit switch, lower limit switch, limit switch, and one-floor emergency slowdown switches
(6 switches).
1.5. When the elevator speed exceeds 1.0m/s, it is necessary to install corresponding upper limit
switch, lower limit switch, and one-floor and multiple-floor emergency slowdown switches.
Please see the electrical connection diagram for details.
1.6. Confirm that the leveling induction plate for each floor is installed in correct position
1.7. Confirm that the car follow-up cables are installed and fixed well, without knotting.
1.8. Emergency exit and safety gear are installed correctly and can act effectively.
Caution
If any problems are found during following check, be sure to carry out
careful check and eliminate the fault causes and confirm that the equipment
and personal safety will not be affected.
2.1 Confirm again that 3-phase 5-wire supply voltage for the elevator control cabinet is normal.
2.2 Confirm that the safety loops 304 and 393 in the control cabinet are connected with each other.
Do not manually shortcircuit the safety loops 304 and 393 in the control cabinet.
2.3 Confirm that the door lock loops 319 and 320+n in the control cabinet (n is floor number)
are connective. Do not shortcircuit the safety loops manually.
2.4 Confirm that the operation panel is wired correctly;
2.5 Confirm that door machine switches can function normally.
3. Hoistway learning
3.1 It is necessary to set F6-00 (highest floor number for elevator) in the controller correctly in
inspection mode.
3.2 Run the elevator to the lowest landing door position in inspection mode, and the leveling
switch operates. At the same time, confirm that emergency slowdown switch operates and
current floor number is 1 (monitoring F4-01);
3.3 By using UP and SET keys on the keypad on the main board, carry out mode changeover and
enter F-7 mode, and set the data to 1. Press SET key. Or by using hand-held operator, change
F1-11 setting to 3, and the system will automatically execute hoistway floor height learning
and the elevator automatically travel to the top floor leveling position at inspection speed.
3.4 In hoistway learning process, at every leveling position, the leveling switch signal lamp X2
will flash once and at the same time floor number indicated on the digital tube on main board
will automatically increment by 1.
3.5 When the elevator runs to the top floor leveling position, hoistway learning is finished, and
the system will automatically exit out of the hoistway learning mode. When there is any error
in the learning process, the digital tube on main board will indicate current error code. Please
refer to the appendix for details.
Address of landing floor is the number of physical floor (as per the leveling
induction plate), which is incremented accordingly from bottom to top and has
no relations with actual floor indications!
Caution
Before commissioning, it is necessary to first confirm that the hoistway and all the
related devices are installed correctly and meet the requirements for the elevator to
run at high speed.
1. Automatic Leveling
1.1 Run the elevator to a position in the middle between two floors in emergency electric
operation mode
1.2 Reset the emergency electric operation switch, and the elevator is in automatic operation mode.
In this case the elevator will run to the leveling position of the closest floor at creep speed and stop
there, and then will automatically open the door.
2. One Floor Run
2.1 Put the elevator in normal operation mode,
2.2 Enter one-floor command in car;
2.3 The elevator will automatically run at medium speed. Observe elevator operation, and confirm
that it can normally start up, slow down, level and stop.
2.4 If anything unusual is found during the operation of elevator, immediately press the stopping
switch to force the elevator to come to a stop. Carry out troubleshooting carefully, and eliminate
the fault before the elevator can be put into operation again.
3. Multi-floor Run
3.1 After floor travel, multiple-floor travel of the elevator can be carried out.
3.2 Enter multi-floor command in car.
3.3 The elevator will automatically run at multi-floor speed. Observe elevator operation, and
confirm that it can normally start up, slow down, level and stop.
3.4 If anything unusual is found during the operation of elevator, immediately press the stopping
switch to force the elevator to come to a stop. Carry out troubleshooting carefully, and eliminate
the fault before the elevator can be put into operation again.
4. Confirmation of Door Opening and Closing
4.1 Check the button for door opening and closing
4.2 If the door opening button is depressed in inspection mode, the door will open; if door closing
button is depressed, the door will close.
4.3 In automatic mode, the elevator door should open after it stops and levels and the door should
close automatically after waiting for a while.
4.4 In attendant operation mode, the elevator door should open after it stops and levels and the
door should close after the closing button is depressed.
1. During comfort adjustment, please first adjust the proportional gain F2-03!
2. Improper adjustment or setting of F2-03 and F2-04 parameters will possibly
cause excessive speed adjustment and even overvoltage!
