Rev. Chang K. Suh, International Chairman

Greetings in the name of our Lord!

Congratulations on the fifteenth anniversary of Evangelical Presbyterian Theological Seminary. EPTS was established in
the year of 2000 when a few of churches and Christian persecutions were evident. Last fifteen years, EPTS has grown
tremendously as the result of dedication and committed prayer by all board members, professors, and staff members. I
commend everyone who has been a part of EPTS. Furthermore, I appreciate every supporter worldwide because they did
their best on trusting and supporting EPTS. Without all of your commitment and support, there would have been no EPTS
today.

I have served EPTS as the international chairman since 2006. It was my joy and privilege to see the growing process of
school in past ten years. I recall that we were short of facilities and financial supports in the beginning years, in which only
one class was accepted, educated, and graduated every three years. From 2009, we were able to have a graduating class
annually and have them serve churches throughout Nepal. EPTS became a member of ATA, which enabled school to grant
official college degree. In addition, we opened the first Christian Music Department and Christian Education Department
in Nepal. I thank God for all His blessings.

I am convinced that our well-educated and trained graduates will become milestones of churches in Nepal. Let us continue
to pray that more churches and excellent Christian schools would be established through the works and ministry of EPTS.
May the Kingdom of God be extended in Nepal!

of a Bible college that emphasizes Reformed theology for
young men who strongly commit to the church planting

in our prayers, I came to the realization that establishing a

are serving as church planters, evangelists, Sunday school
teachers, Christian school teachers, and as teachers in

In order to develop the EPTS ministry, God has encouraged

many churches, mission organizations, and individuals to
contribute to the financial needs of EPTS. Among them,
the Korean Church of Chicago (Rev. ChangkwonSuh), has

of EPTS, especially in academic areas and school
administration during his 10 years of service. According to
his proposal, the goal of training potential church planters
was extended to also provide a theological education for
women to help pre-existing local churches.

It was Gods great blessing that Theology Book.Net in

the USA donated around 10,000 theological books and
journals to EPTSs library in 2007. The number of students
increased every year as well as the number of fulltime
teaching faculty and staff. By the year 2007, the number

for the ATA regular membership was finally approved by Gods people. The Nepali church is growing rapidly.
In order to send workers into the field, God continuously
blesses and strengthens the ministry of EPTS through
mission-minded churches and committed servants. The
work will continue ceaselessly until Gods kingdom come
and His will be done in this land. I am for one, someone
who is very blessed, for I am one of the people God has

One graduate of EPTS went out to plant a church in an

Jesus mission is the mission of the Church. The mission

of the church is to make disciples. The call to live in Christ
is the call to discipleship. Jesus said, if anyone wants to
come after me he must deny himself, pick up his cross and
follow me daily. Dietrich Bonhoeffer said, 'When Christ
calls a man [to be a disciple], he bids him come and die. 5

This high calling goes out to the church in Nepal. As a

young church, Nepal is in serious need for discipleship.
Therefore, the mission of the Church is the mission of EPTS.
Discipleship is learning to follow Jesus Christ, embodying
his vision, mission and values. This requires more than
simply teaching, it needs coaching and mentoring. In this
responsibility EPTS is committed to forming and equipping
students. The mission of EPTS is to provide Christ-centered
training to equip godly leaders for Christ's church among
