STARTING ENGINES (BATTERY)

Follow Starting Engines (GPU) procedures steps 1 through 8, 10

and 11, except as modified by the following:

The series mode is recommended for use during

the first start of the day and for other battery
starts when engines have cooled to near ambient
temperatures since last being operated.

Generator for first engine should be turned on after

first engine start. Second engine should be started
in parallel mode with assistance from the operating
generator after ammeter drops to 150 amps.
