BAKER LAKE RESORT
Baker Lake is, in a word, exquisite. In the heart of the
Outdoor recreation
Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, it’s the perfect place
to experience the essence of the Pacific Northwest: crisp air,
cool waters, balmy summer afternoons, and richly forested
for the whole family
shores blending into mountains.
Baker Lake Resort is on the lake, nestled between two Fishing, hiking, water sports
glacier-fed creeks, with a panoramic view of the lake and
the North Cascades. For decades, this rustic resort has drawn and accommodations—
families and friends seeking the area’s spectacular hiking,
fishing, outdoor activities and solitude.
In 1998, Puget Sound Energy acquired Baker Lake all just two hours from Seattle.
Resort. We’ve been carefully renovating the resort’s campsites
and facilities to match its glorious surroundings without
changing its relaxed, easygoing character. The grounds
embrace 90 wooded or waterfront RV sites, campsites and
cabins. Baker Lake Resort also offers the only store in the
area, featuring a convenient selection of groceries, tackle
and camping goods. The store is open over Memorial Day
weekend and on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through July
and August.
Baker Lake is a reservoir along the Baker River that stores
water for power generation and provides flood control. We are
dedicated to balancing the lake’s valuable and diverse role as
a source of energy and a popular destination for recreational
activities. Based on varying water levels, boating and fishing
are accessible from various launches around the lake.
