INTRODUCTION
_____________
TO CORKSCREW THINKING

The origins of Corkscrew Thinking dates

back to World War 2 when the then Prime
Minister of the UK, Winston Churchill
claimed that neither The Allies or The Nazis
would ever win the war because everyone
was thinking in the same linear way. He
claimed what was needed were people who
were able to approach problems differently
and find innovative solutions that the enemy
would never predict! These people would go
on to be called Corkscrew Thinkers and
would eventually help the UK to win the war!

Corkscrew Thinking refers to a mindset that

allows you to think creatively to solve
complex problems. It goes against the
traditional linear way of thinking and instead
encourages individuals to step back and
take different, more creative approaches to
their work.

You will not be working directly for a company. You will however gain work experience with a startup within your destination
cowork community through the completion of a consultancy report.
