Cameo is making satisfactory progress as a student teacher in the area of professional knowledge. Her strength is in knowing the
content. She has a good understanding of the curriculum and how it related to state standards. She will continue to research and
implement best practices for facilitating higher level thinking skills at every opportunity. She used some higher level questioning and
show continue to do more of that.

Cameo's lesson plans were at the basic level. Plans are consistently aligned with the standards and went above and beyond to include
ELPS standards. The instructional input section was consistently solid. Areas for improvement include adding more detail on
assessments, differentiation, the anticipatory set, and other key components. High-quality lesson plans set the foundation for highly-
effective lessons.

Cameo was well prepared for instruction with materials. Cameo's instruction provided meaningful learning activities through a variety of
strategies. She often struggled to hold students attention. Cameo should work on using a more enthusiastic tone during instruction to
engage learners. She could also provide more encouragement for work well-done and higher-quality work. She should help students
make personal connections with the content. These efforts may result in students who stay more focused on the lesson for the duration
of the lesson. I have not observed Cameo leading students in the use of technology as of yet. I look forward to seeing student-use of
technology in Cameo's second placement.

This remains as area of growth for Cameo. She should articulate in her lesson plans and in post-observation conferences how she is
assessing students learning and how she uses resulting information to make instructional decisions.

Cameo has built a positive rapport with students . Students clearly respect her authority. She is confident in her interactions with the
children.

Cameo developed solid relationships with the school community at Bettie F. Williams. She has made a positive impression on the
school leadership and other staff members. The administrator and cooperating teacher have commented on several occasions in
admiration of her work ethic and professionalism.

This remains an area of growth for Cameo. She must provide concrete evidence during our conferences on how she is gather,
documenting, and using classroom-level data to make instructional decisions that will foster student academic gains. She should chart
student progress in all subject areas. She should work on taking anecdotal notes.
