THE Minangkabau state and its
capital, Seremban, have long
been forecasted to grow into a
formidable economy that will
eventually become a major
national gross domestic product
(GDP) contributor.
This expectation is likely to
continue for many years to come
as, over the last two decades,
Seremban has shaken off its quiet
town tag and become part of the
Greater Klang Valley conurbation
that is attracting businesses, large
industrial activity as well as a
growing number of individuals
who find that property prices in
the immediate vicinity of Kuala
Lumpur are far beyond their
