This article gives the differences between hate crimes and terrorism. They

p r o v i d e m u l t i p l e i n c i d e n t s t h a t h a v e o c c u r r e d r e c e n t l y. T h e y s t a t e t h a t

people believe what happened in Charlottesville was not a hate crime, but

an act of domestic terrorism. The artic le questions why some incidents are

labeled hate crimes and terrorism and others are not. I could apply this to

my critical inquiry to try and differentiate the difference between what

categorizes as terrorism and what is a hate crime. It would be good to

include something like this in my inquiry to get readers thinking.

This article talks about how hate crimes have increased throughout the

year of 2017. It gives an overview of what hate crimes are and where it

stems from. It also give statistics about how hate crimes across America

have sky rocketed. They go into detail a bout hate crime statistics within

certain states and what incidents have been occurring in said state. The

way I could use this in my inquiry is to have sound ethical and logical

proof of hate crimes and there relevance in the world right now.

that are linked to Charlottesville as well as provide a video with a news

report. It gives more insight on t he said incident and gives a general

s c o p e o f w h a t h a s b e e n h a p p e n i n g t h i s ye a r w i t h h a t e a c r o s s A m e r i c a . I

t h i n k t h e r e i s a b i g s p a c e f o r h o w p o l i t i c s h a s p l a ye d a r o l e i n t h e r i s i n g

hate crimes in America. I think it would be good to add the effect i t has

b e e n h a v i n g o n s o c i e t y.

This article evaluates hate crimes against women and how it affects

societ y. She goes in depth about the rising statistics of hate crimes

a g a i n s t w o m e n a n d t h e M u s l i m c o m m u n i t y. S h e q u e s t i o n s t h e g o v e r n m e n t

and the actions they are taking to keep the women subject to hate crimes

safe. In m y critical inquiry, it would be good to touch on the difference of

hate crimes between men and women.
