1 The humidity ratio of atmospheric air at 280C dry bulb temperature and 760 mm of
mercury is 0.016 kg/kg of dry air. Determine
(a) Partial pressure of water vapour.
(b) Relative humidity.
(c) Dew point temperature.
(d) Specific enthalpy and
(e) Vapour density.

The room sensible and latent heat loads for an air conditioned space are 25 KW and 5
KW respectively. The room condition is 250C dry bulb temperature and 50% relative

humidity. The outdoor condition is 400C dry bulb temperature and 50% relative humidity.
The ventilation requirement is such that on mass flow rate basis 20% of fresh air is
introduced and 80% of supply air is re-circulated. The by-pass factor of the cooling coil is
0.15. Determine
