1. GENERAL
This Method Statement is to made as an introduction and explanation of works programs
will be applied for land clearing of Secondary Canal and Sub-Secondary Canal, of Civil
Work of Lempuing Secondary Canal Section-2 and Sub-Secondary Canals of Block-
F Package 19 : ICB 11.
This work shall consist of Clearing and Grubbing the ground surfaces of all trees, stumps,
logs, brush, undergrowth, hedges, fences, structure, foundations, debris and rubbish of
any nature, whether designated in the drawings or within the right of way, on the ground
surfaces of borrow pits or as instructed by the Engineer, together with the disposal of all
such materials.
2. SCOPE OF WORKS
For measurement and payment purposed for clearing and grubbing the land surface
classifications based on the site condition.

4. DETAIL OF WORKS (EXECUTION & METHOD)
This works will be execute clearing and grubbing y=the ground surface in works area
limits as approval by the Engineer: of all trees, stumps, logs, brush, undergrowth, hedges,
fences, structures, foundations, debris and rubbish of any nature, whether designated in
the drawing or within the right of way, on the ground syrfaces of borrow pits or as
instructed by the Engineer, together with the disposal of all such materials.
All material or objects resulting from clearing and grubbing operations will be remove to
disposal or off site and will be burned when material in suitable condition.
Equipment to be involbes :
1. Excavator 0,8 m3 : for clearing and grubbing all big trees and removed off site
2. Bulldozer : for clearing and removal of brush, grass and others material
and removed to off Site
3. Dump Truck : for removal to off Site (if necessary)

7. QUALITY PLAN
Clearing and Grubbing the ground surfaces main canal area of all trees, stumps, logs,
brush, undergrowth, hedges, fences, structures, foundations etc, whether designated in the
drawing within the right of way, together with the disposal of all such materials, and all
material or objects resulting from clearing and grubbing operations shall be burned or
disposed of off site at locations provided.
The contractor shall, before starting the clearing and grubbing work, obtain the Engineers
approval regarding work area limits, object that are to remain and the method of work
execution. Due care shall be taken not to damage trees and existing structures outside the
limits of the working area or otherwise identified so as remain, and the Contractor shaal
protect and preserve all such items.

Type A : Excavation for canals, roads, drains and other common
excavation above water
Type B : Excavation of sediment and debris for normalization works of
the existing canal above water
Type C : Excavation for structure
Type D : Excavation under water without dewatering for canals and
drains
Type E : Excavation in the river bed for construction of Weir, river dike
and other facilities of which materials containing substantial
quantity of gravels, cobbles and boulders.
