Principal Joshua Stamp High School Principal (Novemper 15, 2017) We have been advised that the Lewis County Sheriff's Office is conducting an investigation of a complaint involving Joshua Stamp. Mr. Stamp is the Principal of the Beaver River High School. The subject of the complaint is not a student in the Beaver River Central School District. To date, the School District has not received any information from law enforcement indicating that any students in this School District may be directly involved. Accordingly, as of now, the Lewis County Sheriff's Department is taking the lead in investigating this matter. The District is cooperating with law enforcement, and is complying with all legal reporting requirements. As we understand it, the allegations, although very serious in nature, are accusations at this point, and under the law, Mr. Stamp, like all citizens, is presumed innocent unless or until charges are filed and he is proven guilty. We intend to take all steps necessary to respect Mr. Stamp’s rights, while, at the same time, taking all prudent steps to ensure the welfare of our students. Mr. Stamp is currently on leave from his position while the investigation continues. Because this is a confidential personnel matter, I will not make any comments or observations of a speculative manner in regards to this matter. also want to ensure the Beaver River community that education will continue and that, in Mr. Stamp’s absence, the District will arrange for an interim Principal to assume his responsibilities and other duties.
