 Summary of Procedure

1) leave the beaker in fume hood.

2) From your designated oven, take glass crucible using tongs.
3) put the crucible in the desiccator and allow to cool.
4) When the reaction between copper and nitric acid is complete, carefully add 15 mL
of deionized water to the beaker in the fume hood.
5) Swirl the beaker and then bring it back to your bench.
