The aim of this lesson is to revise the units 13 and 14 of the Students Book.. The students will
practice and revise grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.

C. TOK IZVOENJA NASTAVE ASA

Introductionory part

The teacher will name some of the students in order to check what they remember from the
previous lessons. The purpose of this is to prepare them for the revision lesson and to see their
level of understanding the units.

After these students say what they know and what they remember the teacher will ask other
students if there was anything else that they did but that they friends forgot to mention. Than
the teacher will ask volunteers about what they remember and have to share with the rest of
the class.

Main part

The teacher tells the students to open their books at page 110 at exercise one. The exercise is
to complete the sentences with will, wont (am/are/is) going to or not going to.
The questions are:
I am going to study hard for the exams.
In the future, people ____ probably do all their shopping on the Internet.
I think a lot of shops _______ disappear in the future.
My sister_____ start dancing classes. Shes very excited about it.
Short trousers __________ be in fashion next year.
When ____ you _____ to tidy your room?
There _____ be a woman president of the USA in the next ten years.
I ______ do a lot of homework this weekend.

So, the purpose of the questions is to practice and revise use of will, wont, going to or not
going to.
The students are instructed to do this exercise individually. The teacher checks the students
answers by randomly calling some of the students and correcting them if necessary.

After doing this exercise the teacher tells the students to do the exercise 2 in pairs. They
should ask and answer questions about what they are going to do..
-this weekend
-this evening
-this month
-next summer
-when you leave school
Example: What are you going to do this evening? This evening, Im going to stay in and do
my homework.
The teacher will pick couple of pairs to do the exercise in front of their friends.

The students are now told to do exercise number 3. That is the writing part of the lesson. The
students need to write five sentences about things that they are not going to do in the future.
Example: I am not going to start smoking.
The teacher than asks for volunteers and asks them to read their sentences to the rest of the
class.

The teacher now instructs the students to form groups of four students and that every student
answers questions:
1. What were you doing at 8 oclock last night?
2. What were your friends doing when you got to school this morning?
3. What did you do when you got to school this morning?
4. What did you do when you got home yesterday?
5. What were your family doing when you got home yesterday?
The teacher checks students answers by having several students read out their answers to
each question comparing their answers.

The students are now told to do the exercise 4. Here they need to choose the correct words in
brackets. Sentences are:
That Ethiopean runner broke/made the world record last night.
Her father works with/by refugees.
I sometimes make/do my voluntary work for a charity.
Last month, I went on/in a sponsored walk.
She loves playing/going parachuting.
We had/made a lot of fun last weekend.
A group of volunteers cleaned out/up the park.
The teacher will ask the volunteers for the correct answers and correct them if they make
mistakes.

In the next exercise students need to complete the sentences with the prepositions (for, in, at
from, to)

The sentences are:


I worked in India in 1999. I stayed in a small village _______ ____ six months and taught in
primary school. I got up ___ six oclock ____ the morning and I worked _____ seven thirty
_____ one oclock. ______ the afternoon I had a sleep ____ about an hour. Then ___ the
evening, I worked ____ a couple of hours in centre for adult education. It was very hard work,
but it was fantastic experience.

The teacher will again ask volunteers to answer the questions and correct them if they make
mistakes.

The optional activity is wordbuilding exercise 6 at that page. Students need to complete the
sentences with the correct form of the words in brackets.
The sentences are:
My brother is a __________ student. (medicine)
She works for a __________ organisation. (volunteer)
I think the ________ of environment is very important. (protect)
Can you send me more_____ about that product, please? (inform)

Final part

The teacher will tells students to try to do exercise 7. They need to mark the stress patterns on
the underlined words.
Theyve got a fantastic selection of trainers.
She got a magazine from the newsagent.
Thats a nice colorful jacket.
Can you use the Internet or your computer?
She gave me a poster for my birthday.
She works for charity for refugees.
The teacher doesnt ask the students for answers right away. The teacher plays the audio and
tells the students to repeat the sentences. This way they are able to notice the stress on the
words and at the same time see if they answered the questions correctly.

The teacher will also assess some students.
