luego de intentar matar a Harry Potter. Harry sobrevivi a la maldicin asesina, con no otra secuela
que una cicatriz con forma de rayo en la frente. Como consecuencia de los actos de Voldemort, los
padres de Harry, Lily y James, haban muerto, y por eso Harry deba quedarse con sus tos.

Cuando Harry, cumple 11 aos. De repente, recibe una carta de Hogwarts dicindole que puede
asistir a ese colegio, pero sus tos se niegan y se van a esconder a una pequea isla, para dejar de
recibir esas cartas (que vean en increblemente grandes cantidades). Sin embargo, Rubeus Hagrid
los encuentra y se presenta, diciendo que es el Guardin de las llaves de Hogwarts, y que Hogwarts
es un colegio de magia. Le dice a Harry que es un mago. Sus tos, a regaadientes, aceptan su
marcha a Hogwarts.

Harry y Hagrid se dirigen al Callejn Diagon, donde conocen al nuevo profesor de Defensa contra las
Artes Oscuras en Hogwarts, Quirrell, una persona muy nerviosa y con un turbante en la cabeza.
Harry Potter compra su uniforme y los materiales necesarios, y Hagrid le regala una lechuza blanca ,
Hedwig. Poco despus, lo lleva a Gringotts, el banco para magos, donde Harry descubre que sus
padres le dejaron mucho dinero. Hagrid retira algo de una bveda, diciendo que es para
Dumbledore, director de Hogwarts.

Se dirigen a Londres, donde encuentra a otra familia de magos, [los Weasley], y le indican cmo
acceder al tren de Hogwarts cruzando el muro que quedaba en la estacin del tren. Harry se hace
amigo en el tren de uno de los Weasley, Ron, quien va al mismo ao de Harry. Tambin conocen a
Hermione Granger, quien a pesar de ir recin a primer curso, como Harry, ya sabe bastante de
magia. Llegan al colegio, y deben ser asignados a una de las cuatro casas del Colegio.

Ron Weasley, un chico que haba conocido en el tren que los llevaba al Colegio, le dice que en
Slytherin estaban los magos malos, y Harry desea no entrar a esa casa. Finalmente termina con
Ronald en Gryffindor, y el que acaba en Slytherin es Draco Malfoy, un chico que haba insultado a
Ron. El director de Hogwarts, Dumbledore, dice que ese ao no se iba a poder entrar en un cuarto
del tercer piso. All cursa materias antes desconocidas para l, como Pociones, con el Profesor
Snape, Defensa Contra las Artes Oscuras, con el Profesor Quirrell, Encantamientos,
Transformaciones, y otras ms. Harry conoce a Ron Weasley, y se hacen muy amigos. Luego de
vencer a un troll en Halloween, Harry se hace otra mejor amiga; Hermione Granger.
En Navidad, Harry recibe annimamente una capa invisible, que oculta a la vista de los dems al
que la usa. Una nota dice que era de su padre, y que la utilice bien.

Harry encuentra un espejo, llamado espejo de Oesed. Muestra el ms grande deseo de la persona
que lo ve; Harry ve en el espejo a sus padres y a toda su familia. Dumbledore le dice que ese espejo
muestra el deseo de la persona, pero que pronto ser llevado a otra parte, dada a la adiccin que
provoca.
Harry, Neville Longbottom y Hermione llegan por accidente al prohibido tercer piso, donde
encuentran un perro de tres cabezas.
Una noche Harry, Hermione, Neville y Malfoy quedan castigados porque los dos primeros haban
visitado a Hagrid, Malfoy los estaba espando y Neville les iba a avisar a los dos amigos lo que haca
Draco y Filch los atrap a todos. Como castigo tuvieron que ir al Bosque Prohibido con Hagrid.
En el bosque encontraron sangre de unicornio y Hagrid les dijo que is la tomabas te servia para
seguir viviendo. Luego Harry ve a alguien bebiendo de un unicornio, y cai lo ataca pero fue salvado
por el Centauro Firenze.
El centauro le revela que en el colegio tienen la piedra filosofal, una piedra que da vida eterna. Dice
que Voldemort era el que estaba tomando eso. Harry se da cuenta que Fluffy (el perro de tres
cabezas, que es de Hagrid) vigila una puerta trampa que hay bajo su cuerpo. Al parecer, est
cuidando algo. Harry, Ron y Hermione estaban seguros de que la Piedra Filosofal era lo que estaba
cuidando el Perro. El acontecimiento del Troll, y otras cosas ms, hacen sospechar al Tro que
Snape quiere robar la piedra, y hacer el Elixir para revivir a Voldemort.
Un da Hagrid les dice accidentalmente como dormir a Fluffy, y Harry, sabiendo que Sanpe haba ido
a robar la Piedra, junto con Hermione y Ron, se encamina al tercer piso. En el camino se encuentran
con Neville, que trata de detenerlos, sin xito. Al llegar con Fluffy se encuentran con que se durmio
con un arpa que se tocaba sola, y logran bajar por la puerta trampa. Alli abajo se encuentran con
una serie de pruebas como un ajedrez gigante y un acertijo de ingenio de pociones. Al final, Harry
queda solo para ir a enfrentas a Snape.
Harry entra al ultimo cuarto, donde se encuentra con Quirrell. Asi es, no era Snape, era el Profesor
Quirrell. l haba soltado al troll, y embrujado la escoba de Harry en otra ocasin.

El Maestro de Defensa se estaba mirando al espejo de Oesed. Una voz aparece de la nada. Usa al
muchacho!, dice la voz. Quirrell se saca el turbante de su cabeza, y donde debera estar su nuca,
est la cara de Lord Voldemort. Quirrel hace reflejarse a Harry en el espejo. Al reflejarse en l, El
Nio Que Vivi se ve con la Piedra Filosofal, y mgicamente y sin saber como sta aparece en su
bolsillo. Luego, Quirrell se saca su turbante y se da vuelta.

En vez de su nuca, esta la cara de Voldemort. El Seor Tenebroso trata de tentar a Harry para que
le d la piedra, con promesas de poder, pero Harry no se deja vencer. Luego, Quirrell trata de
arrebatarsela, pero Harry lo toca y ve que se empieza a quemar. Al final, Harry lo sigue tocando y
Voldemort-Quirrell se hace cenizas. Luego se desmaya.
Se despierta en la enfermera y Dumbledore le dice que Quirrell muri, y Voldemort escap.
Tambin el director haba sido el que le haba mandado la capa de invisibilidad a Harry.
Finalmente, el banquete de fin de ao. Cuando Harry entra al Gran Comedor se encuentra con
decoraciones verde y plata: Slytherin haba ganado. Pero luego de agragarle a Harry, Ron y
Hermione puntos, Gryffindor y Slytherin quedaron empatados. Finalmente, se le agregan unos pocos
puntos mas a Neville por haber intentado detener al Tro. Gryffindor haba ganado la Copa de las
Casas.

Harry is left at the home of his Uncles, the Dursleys, by Rubeus Hagrid, Albus Dumbledore and
Minerva McGonnagall.

There they mention that Lord Voldemort, the darkest magician of those times had been defeated,
after trying to kill Harry Potter. Harry survived the murderous curse, with no other sequel than a
lightning-shaped scar on his forehead. As a result of Voldemort's actions, Harry's parents, Lily and
James, had died, and so Harry had to stay with his uncles.

When Harry turns 11. Suddenly, he receives a letter from Hogwarts telling him that he can attend that
school, but his uncles refuse and are going to hide on a small island, to stop receiving those letters
(which they saw in incredibly large quantities). However, Rubeus Hagrid finds them and introduces
himself, saying that he is the Keeper of the Hogwarts keys, and that Hogwarts is a school of magic.
He tells Harry that he is a wizard. His uncles, reluctantly, accept his departure for Hogwarts.

Harry and Hagrid head to Diagon Alley, where they meet the new Defense Against the Dark Arts
teacher at Hogwarts, Quirrell, a very nervous person with a turban on his head. Harry Potter buys his
uniform and the necessary materials, and Hagrid gives him a white owl, Hedwig. Shortly afterwards,
he takes him to Gringotts, the wizard's bank, where Harry discovers that his parents left him a lot of
money. Hagrid removes something from a vault, saying it's for Dumbledore, the Hogwarts director.

They head to London, where they find another family of wizards, [the Weasleys], and tell him how to
get to the Hogwarts train across the wall at the train station. Harry becomes friend on the train of one
of the Weasley, Ron, who goes to the same year of Harry. They also meet Hermione Granger, who
despite going to freshman first grade, like Harry, already knows a lot of magic. They come to school,
and must be assigned to one of the four houses of the College.

Ron Weasley, a boy he had met on the train that took them to the College, tells him that in Slytherin
were the bad wizards, and Harry wishes he did not enter that house. Finally ends with Ronald in
Gryffindor, and the one that ends up in Slytherin is Draco Malfoy, a boy who had insulted Ron. The
director of Hogwarts, Dumbledore, says that that year he would not be able to enter a room on the
third floor. There he studied subjects previously unknown to him, such as Potions, with Professor
Snape, Defense Against the Dark Arts, with Professor Quirrell, Enchantments, Transformations, and
others. Harry meets Ron Weasley, and they become close friends. After beating a troll on Halloween,
Harry becomes another best friend; Hermione Granger.

At Christmas, Harry anonymously receives an invisible cloak, which hides the wearer from the view of
others. A note says it was his father's, and use it well.
Harry finds a mirror, called Oesed's mirror. It shows the greatest desire of the person who sees it;
Harry sees in the mirror his parents and all his family. Dumbledore tells him that that mirror shows the
person's desire, but that soon it will be taken to another part, given to the addiction that provokes.

Harry, Neville Longbottom and Hermione accidentally arrive on the forbidden third floor, where they
find a three-headed dog.

One night, Harry, Hermione, Neville and Malfoy are punished because the first two had visited
Hagrid, Malfoy was spying on them and Neville was going to tell the two friends what Draco and Filch
was doing to catch them all. As punishment they had to go to the Forbidden Forest with Hagrid.

In the forest they found unicorn blood and Hagrid told them it was the tomabas that served to keep
you alive. Then Harry sees someone drinking from a unicorn, and falls it attacks but was saved by
the Centaur Firenze.

The centaur reveals that at school they have the philosopher's stone, a stone that gives eternal life.
He says Voldemort was the one taking that. Harry realizes that Fluffy (the three-headed dog, which is
Hagrid's) watches over a trap door beneath his body. He seems to be taking care of something.
Harry, Ron and Hermione were sure that the Philosopher's Stone was what the Dog was caring for.
The Troll event, and other things, make the Trio suspicious that Snape wants to steal the stone, and
make the Elixir to revive Voldemort.

One day Hagrid accidentally tells them how to sleep Fluffy, and Harry, knowing that Sanpe had gone
to steal the Stone, along with Hermione and Ron, is heading for the third floor. Along the way they
meet Neville, who tries to stop them, without success. When they arrived with Fluffy they found that
he slept with a harp that was playing alone, and managed to go down the trap door. Down there they
come across a series of tests like a giant chess and a potion wizarding riddle. In the end, Harry is left
alone to go to face Snape.

Harry enters the last room, where he meets Quirrell. That's right, it was not Snape, it was Professor
Quirrell. He had released the troll, and bewitched Harry's broom on another occasion.

The Master of Defense was looking at Oesed's mirror. A voice appears out of nowhere. Use the boy!
Says the voice. Quirrell takes the turban off his head, and where his neck should be, there's Lord
Voldemort's face. Quirrel reflects Harry in the mirror. When reflected in him, The Child Who Lived is
seen with the Philosopher's Stone, and magically and without knowing how it appears in his pocket.
Then, Quirrell takes off his turban and turns.

Instead of the nape of his neck, there is Voldemort's face. The Dark Lord tries to tempt Harry to give
him the stone, with promises of power, but Harry does not let himself be defeated. Then, Quirrell tries
to snatch it, but Harry touches it and sees that it starts to burn. In the end, Harry continues to play
him and Voldemort-Quirrell becomes ashes. Then she faints.
He wakes up in the infirmary and Dumbledore tells him that Quirrell died, and Voldemort escaped.
Also the director had been the one who had sent the cloak of invisibility to Harry.

Finally, the year-end banquet. When Harry enters the Great Hall he finds green and silver
decorations: Slytherin had won. But after aggravating Harry, Ron and Hermione points, Gryffindor
and Slytherin were tied. Finally, a few more points are added to Neville for having tried to stop the
Trio. Gryffindor had won the Cup of Houses.
