Narrator: 7:30 am at Statue of William of Orange, every philosopher is ready to explore the
Dutch Golden Age

Kant: does anyone know what is Dutch Golden Age

Niccolo: It was a Dutch history, approximately spanning in the 17th century
Luther: oh! Also during 17th century, the Dutch nation became one of the wealthiest and most
powerful in the world.

Narrator: the time in statue of William pass really fast that everyone had to decided what place
they will go

Jean: Guys, dont forget we have an appointment at the thai restaurant with Dutch king
Willem-Alexander, the leader of Glorious revolution at Noon.
Luther: I want to go to the Great Church
Hobbes: I want to go to Prison Museum
Mary: I want to go to Peace Palace
Kant: I want to go to Mauritshuis
Niccolo: I want to go to the New Church
Locke: I want to go to the Knights Hall
Jean: Everyone! I dont think we have enough time to go every place. Shouldnt we vote on what
place we want to go.
Mary: I agree or maybe go in pairs.

Luther: I want to appreciating the effects of the Protestant Revolution I helped spark and
appreciating the spiritual atmosphere at the Great church.
Kant: At first I want to see the best paintings from the Dutch Golden Age at Mauritshuis,
however I think Luthers choice is also a good idea.
Niccolo: Yeah, me too. Actually I want to go to New Church which located in Dam Square,
Amsterdam, is used as an exhibition space but I think Great Chuch would be okay too.

Mary: I want to know about the peace and justice, does anyone want to go to Peace Palace with
me? The building served as a residence to a judicial institution, but at the same time strived to
embody the dream for world peace that had been cherished for centuries.
Hobbes: Yes, me. Actually, I wanted to go to prison museum to learn more about time before
Dutch people have peace and justice. However, it is ok for me to go to Peace Palace with you.

Locke: Ok, then there is only me and Jean left. Maybe we can go together right?
Jean: Yeah thats fine, so where are we going?
Locke: We will go to Knights hall which is not far from here or where do you want to go?
Jean : Okay, It is a good idea. I can go with you because I only want to get all friends agree on
where to go and what to do, and enjoying good Thai food on time at See You At Noon.
Locke: Yeah, that great so we will go there together.
Jean : I also want to go to a place that relate to peace, brotherhood, or humanity.
Locke: Yeah, this place is actually related with these ideas. Lets go.

Hobbes: Ok everyone, see you guys at noon. Hope you all have fun

Grote Kerk (Great Church)

Protestant church and former Catholic cathedral located on the central market square in the Dutch
city of Haarlem. Another Haarlem church called the Cathedral of Saint Bavo now serves as the main
cathedral for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Haarlem-Amsterdam.
Luther: So guys! do you know the Great church?
Kant:This place is amazing!!
Niccolo: This church is a Protestant church and former Catholic cathedral located on the central
market square in the Dutch city of Haarlem. And it is an important landmark for the city of Haarlem
and has dominated the city skyline for centuries.
Kant: Oh yes, It is built in the Gothic style of architecture and it became the main church of Haarlem
Luther: ohoh!after renovations in the 15th century made it significantly larger than the Janskerk
(Haarlem).
Vredespaleis (Peace Palace)
Mary: Wow Hobbes, the Peace Palace is grand both inside and out. Actually this place is
globally known as the temple of peace and justice.
Hobbes: Yes, It looks really beautiful! What I like most is the art inside the palace, busts, statues
and large object abound. It is interesting that most of them has been donated from countries
over the years. Moreover,The floors are tiled, the windows contain stained glass and every
corridor is decorated. There are even some Delft Blue tiles adorning the walls.
Mary: Yeah and theres so many changes.Carnegie stipulated that the building also have a law
library. Now the library is in a stand-alone building next to the Peace Palace. Another change
between 1913 and today is that the building now houses two organizations: the International
Court of Justice and the Permanent Court of Arbitration.
Hobbes: Thats really interesting! Lucky me that I choose to come here with you.
Mary: Youre welcome!

Binnenhof / Ridderzaal (Knights Hall)

Jean: Then, what you know about this place?
Locke: I know that it is the main building of the 13th century Binnenhof in t he heart of The
Hagues city centre, Netherlands.
Jean: And do you know what it use for?
Locke: It is used for the state opening of Parliament on Prinsjesdag, when the Dutch monarch
drives to Parliament in the Golden Coach and delivers the speech from the throne. It also used
for official royal receptions, and interparliamentary conferences.
Jean: Oh I saw the history poster said When Count of Holland Willem II was crowned king of
the Romans and emperor-elect of the Holy Roman Empire in 1248, he appointed the Binnenhof,
his late father's palace, the official royal residence, thereby providing the city with what is
considered its foundation year. Willem's son, Floris V, added the massive Ridderzaal in 1280
Locke: Ohh yeah. I forgot some part of it but I can remember the conquences that Finally the
words of the first part of the 1848 Constitution of the Dutch Monarchy were put up above the
fireplace. At the top you see the stars of the European Union, thus linking the Dutch
parliamentary democracy with the latest European cooperation
