• Project Management of many capital projects, saved an average of 13%.


• Developed new Mechanical specifications for NKC, which saved 3 man-year.
• Designed and managed the largest storage fuel reserve project for NKC, saved 10% of
budget.
• Worked with various professionals and drafted a plan to obtain City and County
approvals for removal of underground tanks for NKC in a timely fashion and saved 15%
of total project budget.
• Negotiated the stress relief contract which saved Duquesne Light Co. 23% of the cost.
• Performed design modifications for Homelite pumps, which improved performance 10%.
• Accomplished several mechanical system projects ahead of schedule and saved 14% of
allotted budget.

• From 4/2008 to: 4/2009 Title: Sr. Facility Engineer Company: Solar
Turbines, Inc., Kearny Mesa, CA. (as a consultant through Volt Technical Services.)

I managed capital projects as assigned by the Facilities Engineering Manger. This


encompasses design engineering as per codes and standards, planning, scheduling
budgeting, purchasing of equipment, awarding contracts, P&ID, and supervise the
contractors activities.

• From: 3/99 to: 3/2008 Title: Project Manager Company: GMBH, Inc.,
Escondido, CA.

I managed the day to day activities as a Project Manager to schedule the work load of
multi-discipline projects and manage the performance of co-workers. Some design
engineering is necessary to enhance the project progress. The company is involved in
engineering design, and scale ups of chemical/biotech projects. These activities
encompass engineering analysis, cost control, report writing skills, my ability to work
effectively within a team environment, excellent communication, organizational, and
problem solving skills. As well, I participated in resolutions of construction problems,
budgeting, cost control, HAZOP, safety, and enforcing OSHA regulations. The computer
tools that I used every day were: MS office and MS project.

I was involved in the Supercritical Water Oxidation system [a fully enclosed reaction that
takes place at elevated temperatures and pressures above the critical point of water to
treat hazardous waste]. My scope entailed writing equipment specifications, design of
major equipment, cost estimation, P&ID’s, review quotes from vendors, and selection of
equipment. Some of the heavy equipment design that I was involved in were: belt
conveyors, bucket conveyors, ASME reactors, and high pressure/ high temperature
piping and fittings.

My position was to design the main equipments in multi-projects. The design included
pumps, piping, valves, control valves, tanks, and electronic sensors, writing equipment
specifications, review quotes from vendors, meeting with clients, P&ID’s, and selection
and design of equipment. Some examples of these equipment are: ASME vessels, Pumps,
Conveyors, Mixers, Boilers, Chillers, etc.

Monsanto, San Diego, CA.

NKC is a Chemical/Biochemical company that produced Alginates and biopolymers


[Xanthan gum, Gellan gum, Omega-6 (Fatty Acid), etc.] As a Project Engineer, I was
involved in many main new projects, or to enhance existing projects. Responsibilities
include planning, design and construction support of HVAC, plumbing, vessels, pumps,
valves, system modifications, rehabilitation of facilities, and other mechanical projects. I
was also involved in project engineering and management of multi-discipline projects. I
provided mentoring, oversight, and leadership. As well, I obtained licenses to
install/operate various projects from federal and state authorities.

Light, Pittsburgh, PA.

The project I was involved in is the construction of a nuclear power plant (Beaver Valley
Power Station #2). My position was to oversee that all mechanical designs meet the
ASME code and the NRC regulations. I supervised 6 engineers and 9 designers in order
to complete the project and to obtain the operating license.

Webster Engineers, Boston, MA.

I worked as a consulting engineer working on piping stress analysis class 2 & 3 for the
Shoreham Nuclear Plant, Long Island, NY. This involved using the “Super Pipe”
software to show the stress levels of piping, and to propose the type and locations of
supports. The stress analysis encompassed Thermal, Gravity, and Seismic analysis using
rigid and snubber supporting systems.
