ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES

Dropouts most likely fare worse than graduates on the long-term payoffs in life. Generally, they have
fewer chances in employment or in earning money. In pursuit of closing this achievement gap, the
government recently proposed an education policy which requires all students to remain in school or at
college until they are at least 18. On the one hand, this proposed policy would help in nurturing the
student in making better choices for their career and their future. On the other hand, this policy may
also lead to problems without improvements in the study environment.

Fulfilling the required number of years required in school will equip the students with knowledge and
understanding of their skills. They are given more guidance and time to think before choosing from their
career options. Thus may produce graduates who are more confident of their choices for their career
and future.

Conversely, this may not always be the scenario. Requiring more students to stay in school may also lead
to problems without improvements in the study environment, such as hiring more teachers or building
more classrooms. If only the compulsory attendance is implemented, more students are at risk of being
distracted and failing classes as the attendance of unhappy and unwilling students is increased.

In conclusion, the proposed policy has both advantages and disadvantages. Although it has risks or
disadvantages, these can be handled efficiently with a complementary favorable study environment in
support to the compulsory attendance of students for a better future.
CAUSE AND SOLUTION

A major problem in many countries is the number of teenage drivers is involved in car accidents. This
essay will suggest that distracted driving as the principal cause of this problem and effective
enforcement of laws complemented by modern technology as a viable solution, followed by a reasoned
conclusion.

Teenage car accidents are mainly caused by distracted driving. In the era of being on the go, talking on
the phone, sending text messages, and grooming oneself on the go have become ubiquitous. Setting
their eyes on something else may inevitably result to running into walls, other cars, or posts. Another
serious cause is drunk driving. Although the concept of drunk driving is blatantly dangerous, there are
still people who take the wheel. They may not even know they had been drinking because they had too
much to drink. Reckless driving is also one of the causes of accidents. Changing lanes too quickly,
speeding well over the limit, and acting aggressive on the roads can lead to horrible accidents.

There is no simple or specific solution to the problem of car accidents. All of us just need to keep the
basic rules and laws. It is important to take ones time and remain calm while driving to avoid needless
accidents caused by simple carelessness. Everyone should obey and follow the rules. To be stricter so
more people would follow the laws, I think technology will also be of immense help. High-end cars these
days are already equipped with features like blind-spot warning, lane-assist, heads-up display which
helps in averting a collision, but going forward these features will soon make its way on an average new
car. These safety features have proven to be highly effective to avoid crashes and with more cars getting
new technologies will reduce the overall road fatalities.

To conclude, while it is true that the number of teenage car accidents is on the rise this problem can be
tackled by effective enforcement of laws.
DISCUSS BOTH VIEWS AND GIVE OPINION

Growing up would entail a myriad of developmental tasks to be accomplished. The transition from high
school to college is one critical developmental phase in ones life. Some people believe that young
people should take a year off to travel or work between high school and university, while others believe
that students must go straight to the university after graduating from high school.

Going straight to college after high school would provide students access to information and knowledge.
The courses, assignments and other college experiences are going to pay off, regardless of any student
debt you may have. College prepares students through training toward a career. The earlier one attends
college, the earlier one gets to be qualified for employment opportunities.

On the other hand, people say that there is more to learn beyond the four walls of a classroom. After
high school, many students are uncertain of what they want to do with their lives. Taking a break may
help one in discovering their passion, whether it is playing tennis, debating or volunteering. One can opt
to travel and be immersed in different cultures. One can get a job and earn money that may be used
later toward college. It is crucial to carefully think about activities in this break so that people in the
college admission regard the time away from school as worthwhile.

In conclusion, both can be ideal options and either can be chosen as long as it feeds ones personal
growth. In todays difficult economic times, life feels like a race and I believe that one should not stop
learning.
One of the most debatable issues of the last century has been the extent to which international trade
benefits or harms national economies. Many arguments have been made for and against free trade
between nations. In this essay, I will discuss both views and state my own position.

Those who support the expansion of global free trade claim that economies grow faster when they can
specialise in just a few industries in which they have a strong advantage. As a result, each region or
country produces something of value to the world economy. For example, East Asia manufactures
electronic goods, the Middle East exports energy, and the EU produces luxury items. Free trade
proponents claim that dependence on global trade helps to strengthen international cooperation and
prevent wars.

Meanwhile, opponents of free tradesometimes called protectionistsclaim that the unrestricted

movement of goods and services causes damage to local communities. This is because jobs are lost
when it becomes cheaper to import a product than to produce it domestically. They also argue that the
vast distances travelled by food, oil, and consumer goods is harming the environment and making our
lives unsustainable. Protectionists are in favour of tighter controls on the movement of goods and
services in order to protect jobs and livelihoods.

In conclusion, while there are convincing arguments on both sides of the debate, a return to
protectionist policies would surely be a mistake. I believe that global trade is inevitable and should not
be restricted. It is no longer realistic for nations to source all of their energy, food, and manufactured
goods within their own borders.
The most impactful years in the lives of person are that of childhood. It is in these years that one forms
impressions and the experiences shape the nature and behavior of the child. Some people believe that a
child must be punished for a wrongdoing while others believe that one must shape an individual
through rewards.

Rewards and recognition are the positive pillars to motivate a person. When a child gets a reward for
speaking well or discipline or cleanliness, it motivates him or her to do it more. Even more, the child gets
to know the importance of the good things he or she is doing in life. Even more, complementing children
for their excellence boosts their self-esteem and help them become better individuals.

However, punishments have their own impact on the lives of an individual. Children refrain from doing
an activity in fear of receiving punishment. For instance, if a child was abstained from having chocolate
because of a mistake he or she did, there will be a realisation on why the things are not right. Punishing
must not mean physical or mental torture, if done with care it brings in the realisation more than fear.

Overall, growing years are formative years of a child life and both rewards and punishment are
necessary. In my opinion, a child must get both but what is more important is the realisation of things
from rewards and recognition.
AGREE OR DISAGREE TO WHAT EXTENT

Humans are responsible for a variety of environmental problems, but we can also take steps to reduce
the damage that we are causing to the planet. This essay will discuss environmental problems and the
measures that governments and individuals can take to address these problems.

Two of the biggest threats to the environment are air pollution and waste. Gas emissions from factories
and exhaust fumes from vehicles lead to global warming, which may have a devastating effect on the
planet in the future. As the human population increases, we are also producing ever greater quantities
of waste, which contaminates the earth and pollutes rivers and oceans.

Governments could certainly make more effort to reduce air pollution. They could introduce laws to
limit emissions from factories or to force companies to use renewable energy from solar, wind or water
power. They could also impose green taxes on drivers and airline companies. In this way, people would
be encouraged to use public transport and to take fewer flights abroad, therefore reducing emissions.

Individuals should also take responsibility for the impact they have on the environment. They can take
public transport rather than driving, choose products with less packaging, and recycle as much as
possible. Most supermarkets now provide reusable bags for shoppers as well as banks for recycling
glass, plastic and paper in their car parks. By reusing and recycling, we can help to reduce waste.

In conclusion, both national governments and individuals must play their part in looking after the
environment.

It is often argued that the government should finance public services instead of spending its budget on
arts, music and theatre. Although I agree that governments investments in public services play a very
important role, I think that proper funding of arts sector is also crucial for the society.

On the one hand, the government should definitely allocate a large part of its budget on public services.
This economic sector determines the overall quality of life, ensuring that some basic services, like
schools, hospitals and roads, are available to all citizens irrespective of their income or social status.
Public services satisfy the primary needs of the society and thus need a proper funding, while artists and
musicians are not curing diseases or building houses, so their role is secondary. For example, any
country can live without music concerts, but absence of medicine will create significant problems. Thats
why the government should adequately finance public services in the first place.

On the other hand, arts, music and theatre are not a waste of money, since they are an integral part of
the societys cultural and intellectual development and amusement. Firstly, art and music draw peoples
attention to diverse phenomena and represent the inward significance of things. Quite often a single
drawing, piece or song can exhort myriads of people to reconsider their attitude towards some
situation. This way, art serves as a major source of nations personal and intellectual development.
Moreover, visiting museums, watching movies and listening to music are common ways of relaxation
and entertainment. Thus, art sector is also important for the society and should not be neglected.

To conclude, though I agree that the government should allocate a large part of its budget on such
urgent needs of the society like public services, I think that arts, music and theatre should also be
financed since they play an important role in peoples development and entertainment.
