The name of our company is IKEA. Our company was founded by Ingvar Kamprad in
1943 when he was 17 years old who has been one of the richest people in the world. IKEA is
an acronym of its name, Ingvar Kamprad; where he was born, Elmtaryd; and his village,
Agunnaryd. Initially, we sold various items, from pens, wallets, photo frames, to watches.

We have been designing ourself since 1955. Sales were initially done by mail and then
a shop opened in lmhult which later became the IKEA shop model for the next. On March
23, 1963, the first of our shop outside Sweden opened in Norway.

On October 15, 2014, Hero Supermarket, IKEA licensee in Indonesia has opened
IKEA's first outlet in Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia. IKEA Alam Sutera is the 364th store and
the most recent of 46 countries in the world. We have been establishing cooperation with
local industry by taking raw materials in Solo and Yogya. These local products are going to
market by IKEA to the international market.

Our organizational structure is headed by the managing director of IKEA, assisted by

the general director and technical director and staff in various divisions.
