Distrito Toqui, Aysen Chile
Alejandro Kakarieka Soc. Contractual Minera El Toqui akakarieka@breakwater.cl
ABSTRACT
The Aserradero deposit is a blind Gold Skarn-manto deposit formed by metasomatic and
pervasive replacement of fossiliferous limestone by metal-laden hydrothermal fluids. It extends about
0.8 km in a NW direction, with an average thickness of 6 to 7 m, and is hosted by lower Toqui
formation rocks. The deposit represents a down-dropped block (approx. 64 m) from the Doa
Rosa main orebody, south of the Aserradero fault system. The current geological resource of the
Aserradero deposit is 1.5 Mt grading 5.9% Zn and 8.5 g/t Au, based on 66 diamond -holes.
