Give purpose when asking kids to do new things or asking for attention.
Scaffolding group talk & whole class questions:
If no one raises their hand after sufficient wait time, give one minute to turn &
talk.
Control who is responding (see below).
Respect the speaker (see below).
To include movement: Touch 2 walls or Giv0-=e 2 high 5s.
To get students to honor each others voices:
Dont rephrase students answers, have other students repeat.
Dont take the learning from students by answering questions.
