Virtualization: Open and Distance Education

In the course of time, a new scenario of democratization of education education,

due to the need to attend to geographically dispersed populations, added To this the desire
of many professionals to follow a second race or just having the time to start their
university studies, which has produced important changes in the context education that
involve face-to-face education directing it towards a virtual education.
The new virtual interactive forms, which involve the use of telematics for purposes of
teaching and learning, are producing changes that go from the word to the im-genes, from
the face to the virtual, from the collective to the individual, from the classroom to the
laboratory (UNESCO, 2014).

The incorporation of information and communication technology, ICT, in the

modality of virtual education, impacts the methodologies and pedagogical mediations
modifying them and adapting them to accelerated development of ICT, producing the
diversification of the educational modalities. Thus, globalization of knowledge has been
made accessible through of this accelerated technological development that has impacted
the educational paradigm guiding towards a freer, more open and focused education in the
student, in their needs and availability of time for learning.

Method
Being necessary to focus on the current reality of virtual education the guidelines
were followed of documentary research, for which We consulted in database of EBSCO,
Dialnet, Redalyc, Google Scholar, whose contributions allowed to determine how it has
evolved virtual education For this, a analysis that would lead to the identification of
alternatives for the consolidation of teaching virtual, for the consolidation of considering it
a open and distance education in a framework of equity or social inclusion, where the
student interact with others and reach a training quality.

Virtual education
In January 2014, at the International Meeting of people who could not participate
in the training face-to-face, because they allow the student and the instructor are physically
separated during the learning process giving rise to an experience of structured learning that
can be do outside of an academic institution, at home or in a workplace in these conditions
the Learning is open, flexible, negotiated and adapted to the needs of each person.
The pedagogical model applied to education virtual is based on the relationship of the ICT
with the actors of the educational process, as result of careful analysis in the election of the
programs that are proposed within a certain program. This analysis has to see with the
temporal perception in learning, such as visual perception (contrast, symmetry, intensity of
the stimulus, proximity), configuring the contents in a pleasant way of impact on learning.
Or can justifiably include means that increase the ability to integrate new knowledge into
schemas previously defined by the student.

In this analysis, the participation of the student to achieve full interaction with
their teachers and classmates (for example the discussion of problems in group), thus
guaranteeing a deep learning (IESALC, 2005).

The educational processes are incorporating information and communication

technologies with In order to satisfy the new competencies demanded by professionals who
participate in the different processes of production and society.
In a study conducted at the University of Alcal on educational innovation (Martnez
and Garca, 2011) the differences between two groups of first-year teachers, finding that the
group that received a participatory methodology with a virtual environment as support for
face-to-face classes he increased his level of motivation, unlike the group that he received a
traditional methodology where students they lost motivation when advancing the subject,
proving that the motivation in a virtual environment is far superior to contexts similar
without the use of ICT.

aprendizaje y proporcionando acceso a informacin global digitalizada. Las TIC provocan
el cambio en la enseanza, involucran alumnos de territorios alejados y dispersos y agilizan
procesos acadmicos, administrativos y financieros.
