Objective: Demonstrate the assigning, creation and administration
of new EnterpriseOne Welcome Pages 60 minutes

Overview
EnterpriseOne Pages are the first screen end-users see when they log into
EnterpriseOne. E1 Pages are HTML files, and can contain any HTML-enabled
functionality, such as interactive process flows, URL links and web pages, company
logos, etc. Create EnterpriseOne Pages outside of EntepriseOne using any HTML
editor, then upload them to EnterpriseOne.

In this exercise you will:

Assumptions
EnterpriseOne Enterprise and HTML Server (Weblogic) are installed and up
and running

Tools Release 9.1 is installed across all servers

ESU (JL17990:SAR 12821280) containing the E1 Welcome Page objects are


installed, as well as the Automated Special Instructions OBA for Tools 9.1,
and built into a package deployment.

Tasks
Create Welcome Page Status Flow

Before a designer can upload an EnterpriseOne Page to EnterpriseOne, a status (also


called activity rules) must be created, as well as the status flows through which the page
will go for approval.

NOTE: At least one status flow must exist with two statuses: an entry status, such as
Editing, and a final status, such as Approved.

NOTE: In a typical environment a recommended approach to setting up the event status


flow would be to have the following:

1. Using a browser, sign into the JDE EnterpriseOne HTML Client with the JDE user
and password.

NOTE: Be sure that the E1 Services and corresponding HTML server is functional.

2. Start the LCM Activity Rule application via fast path (in upper right hand corner)
P982405 and clicking the go arrow button.

3. In Work with LCM Activity Rules, click the Add button create a new activity rule.

4. Select EnterpriseOne Pages for the top Object Type drop down box and then
complete the first grid row with the following values and click the OK/Save
button.

Assign Users/Role to EnterpriseOne Page

1. Start the User Content Management application via fast path (in upper right hand
corner) P982400 and clicking the go arrow button.

2. In the User Generated Content Management screen, click the Add button

3. Enter data for the new E1 Page, and then click the Upload Content button.

4. Use the Browse button to navigate to and locate the file to upload
C:\Software\Oracle\E1\E1 Pages\9.1_Pages\OrderToCash.zip and then click the
Load button.

NOTE: Be sure to select the content to be uploaded in ZIP format.

5. As a preview, click on the View Page button to test.

6. View test page click X to close the page test. Select from the Open Applications
the EnterpriseOne Pages to return to previous state.

7. Back in the EnterpriseOne Pages application, click the OK/Save button.

NOTE: Again, for multiple language pages, a new record would need to be created
for each language that the page has been created for.

8. Within the User Generated Content Management scree, click Find button to
locate the new E1 Page record. Click the link in the grid for the status (Editing)

9. User drop drown box to select Approved and click the OK button.

10. Notice status change to Approved. Now select the Form exit Admin Activate

11. In the grid record, click on the Active icon

12. Icon change to green bullet, close the Activate User Generated Objects sub-window

13. Now publish to users/roles. Select Form exit Admin Publish

14. In the Published User Generated Contents, click the Add button.

15. Enter (or use visual assist to find) the new Object Name (ORDERCASH) and the
Product Code (42) in the form variables at the top of the Publish By EnterpriseOne
Pages. Then enter a User name or Role (*PUBLIC) , followed by Y for the viewable
column, in the grid. Click the OK/Save button when complete.

16. Once complete, close all applications and then sign out of the EnterpriseOne HTML
client.

17. Sign back in as the JDE user

18. Notice the change in the home page with the new E1 page loaded as default

Create URL as EnterpriseOne Page

1. Start the User Content Management application via fast path (in upper right hand

9. Now publish to users/roles. Select Form exit Admin Publish

10. In the Published User Generated Contents, click the Add button.

11. Enter data into the form as follows and click the OK/Save button when complete.

12. Once complete, close all applications and then sign out of the EnterpriseOne HTML
client.

13. Sign back in as the JDE user

14. Notice the existence of the second tab in the home page. Click on the new table
Oracle.com

15. As long as the VM has internet access, the secondary tab will show the external URL
setup in the exercise oracle.com

Reorder Tabs

E1 Pages tabs will be ordered left to right as they are assigned/created for the user/role.
However each user can sort the E1 Pages in their desired order, which will be stored as a
user override (F98950) record for the environment.

1. Sign into the EnterpriseOne HTML client as the JDE user (same password).

2. Notice the two tabs at the top of the E1 home page. Click on the first tab (Order to
Cash) and drag it to the right of the second tab, and release

3. The tabs will now be reordered so that the Order to Cash is now the second tab in
the tab list.

4. Even after user log off, the tab order will be retained upon E1 HTML client re-entry.
