Oncology Wards & Day Care Centre at Royal Hospital

General Description of Work

Oncology wards and Day care centre is the extended part of the
Oncology center at the Royal Hospital. Air conditioning is achieved
by adding 03 Nos chillers, 03 Nos chilled water pumps 01 No
expansion vessel, 14 Nos Air Handling Units 13 Nos Smoke Extract
Fans, 06 Nos Foul Air Extract Fans, 02 Nos Battery Room Exhaust
Fans, 31 Nos Fan Coil Units, 22 Nos VAV Units, interconnecting
chilled water pipes and associated GI Duct work for Air
distribution.

Wards, day care centre, private rooms, consultant suits are served
by Air Handling Units (AHU). Service areas like plant rooms, stair
case, store, maintenance rooms lobbies are served by chilled water
FCUS. Air distributions to wards are controlled through VAV units.

Dedicated AHU for air conditioning and dedicated exhaust fan with
explosion proof motor used for battery room.

09 Nos DDC panels are installed and interconnected through N2

bus network, and entre BMS system is monitored at existing control
room at the Royal Hospital. Separate O&M Manuel for BMS system
is to be refer for BMS details.
 AIR COOLED CHILLERS

03 Nos carrier make screw type Air Cooled Chillers are

installed adjacent to the existing 03 Nos chillers at Oncology
service building.
New chillers installed and outlet piping is hookup to the
existing header at chiller yard.
New pumps suction and discharge pipeline hooked up to
existing pump suction / discharge header.
Interconnecting piping between new pumps and AHU
installed through service tunnel up to the respective AHU /
FCU locations.
 AIR HANDLING UNIT

14nos Savier make Air Handling Units are serving various areas
and located at the plant room #19, plant room #20 and low roof
of main building above consultant suit, first floor pediatric ward
(AHU-74) First Floor Adult Oncology ward (AHU-75). 1st & 2nd
floor consultant suit (AHU-79). Second Floor Day care ward
(AHU-76) Second floor Adult Oncology ward (AHU-77) is
re-circulating Air Handling Units. AHU-66 First floor Pvt. room
1&2 AHU-67 First floor private room 3&4. AHU-68 First floor
private room 5&6, AHU -69 First floor private room 7&8. AHU-
70 Second floor private room 1&2. AHU-71 Second floor private
room 3&4. AHU-72 Second floor private room 5&6. AHU-73
Second floor private room 7&8 and AHU- 78 Roof Battery
rooms are 100% fresh air units. Heaters are built in in the Air
Handling Units and thyristrs are installed at respective panels.
 CHILLED WATER PUMPS

03nos Groundfos chilled water pumps model NK80-315/334,

22kW motor are used to circulate chilled water in closed loop
system and located at the service building pump room adjacent
to the existing pumps.
 FAN COIL UNITS

31 Nos Carrier make, chilled water fan coil units are installed at
various location at Plant Rooms, Maintenance Room, Stair Case,
and Lobby areas.

IT Room and Outdoor unit installed at low roof near UPS /
Battery Room.
