Brief chosen:
Brief 1 Television: You have been given the task of producing the first two of what your agency hopes

will become a series of 30 second television adverts to promote a new unisex deodorant from UK
deodorants, an existing agency client.

How do you intend to use the four areas of the media theoretical framework to communicate meaning
and meet the requirements of your chosen brief? (approx. 350 words)

The media language



In both adverts I will ensure that my adverts have a range of shots which include extreme close-ups,
close-ups mid shot, long shots and extreme long shots. Close-ups of the product to show the look of

the deodorant, with a pack shot at the end or towards the end. I will ensure to keep it fast pace with
editing of match on action, continuity and montage when appropriate and this will keep the adverts
visually interesting. I will make sure my advert flows and has an upbeat structure. Including a

non-diegetic voice over that is Standard English and reflects the mood and pace. There will be graphics
with slogan or logo at the end or towards the end to resemble the product and what its purpose is. The

mise en scene will reflect in my advert through colour scheme, outfits and the actions to reflect the
deodorants use.

The media representations
In my adverts I will portray the product positively and the audience positively therefore It will appeal to

the target audience and make them want to buy it, do not want to represent them in a negative way. I
will represent in both adverts the product being unisex, and the product being for young and active

people. I will not miss lead the product in any way but show the effectiveness of the product.
The media Industries
I
will ensure to not miss lead what the product is capable of doing, stay away from violence and make
sure I do not give any personal or private information, such as house numbers addresses private lands

etc. or break any environmental codes.
The media audiences

My adverts will have young people between the ages of 16-25, keep the message simple and appealing
to a young active lifestyle. I will keep the advert up beat and humours and put the it on channels that is
watched by younger audiences like ITV, ITVbe, MTV, E4. On at times which are mostly viewed by young
people between
