Lesson idea implementation: As you address the standards, what will students and teachers do? How will
the project be introduced? How long will it take to complete? How will student learning be assessed? How will
the final product be used to inform/differentiate learning? How will you extend the student learning to a
higher learning level? How will you conclude the lesson? How will you provide feedback to students about
their work? MINIMUM 2 paragraph overview. Teacher can make a video to help further students knowledge
on a subject. As a project, teachers can assign students to make a documentary. Once they finish their
documentary, they can share it on iReport. This is a publishing site where students can submit documentaries.
If teachers do not want to use iReport they can just have their student share their video with the class. The
teacher will assess the students work and work can be submitted early if a student wants feedback on their
project before turning it on.

Importance of technology: Why is using a multimedia authoring tool critical to the project? Could the project
be completed without this technology? What would be lost without using it? What other types of technology,
if any, are going to be used in the learning experience?
The whole project would be not be possible to do without technology because students are creating a video.
Without the technology, the students could do a report but it would be less exciting and engaging. Students
will still need access to the internet and a camera for this project.

Inspiration (optional): If you used existing multimedia projects as a model for your project (Whether in part
or whole), include the URL(s) so we can visit. Explain what concepts you borrowed from others.

Internet Safety and Student Privacy: Briefly discuss some possible issues surrounding Internet safety and
student privacy that could arise while implementing this learning experience and explain how you would (1)

minimize risks to students/yourself; (2) alleviate any fears by parents/administrators, and (3) follow common
Internet Safety/Acceptable Use Policies.
I would get permission from my administrator before I assign this project. I would send out a permission slip
to the parents to sign saying they approve or not approve of their childs work being published. If they do not
approve then the child can just show their video to the class.
