Overall, each individual member of the group will conduct thorough research toward their primary role in the project. Sources should be relatable to the topic and be addressed directly within the assignment. Research will be conducted using primary sources such as interviews and reliable online sources. However, if not enough primary sources are gathered, reliable secondary sources will be introduced. Measurable Team Goals Beat project deadline so that we as a group can prepare for the unexpected. Reasonable deadlines should be met by each individual in the group. If unable to meet specific deadlines, consult group members prior to the deadline. Obtain data from at least 15 sources. All submitted work is to be reviewed by at least one other team member prior to submission. Personal Goals Nate hopes that he can pick up the ability to quickly emulate the prose found within journalism. As a Political Science major, Karinna hopes she can learn more about the journalistic side of the assignment. As an Economics and Public Policy double major, Jon hopes to gain experience in gathering information from primary sources and learn more about journalism. Bryan hopes to learn from professionals who have had success in the field he aims to enter after graduation: journalism. Individual Commitment Bryan, Jon, Karinna, and Nate are all definitely willing to devote 100 percent of their efforts into this group project. Conflict Resolution Under the unfortunate circumstance in which we experience any conflict, we will decide as a group how to handle the situation. All group members should keep the end-goal in mind, as that is what truly matters. We will strive to prevent the emergence of conflict for the duration of this project through mediation. Missed Deadlines If a member of the group misses a deadline, another group member has to take over that responsibility. However, the group member that missed the deadline will have to continue to participate and prioritize those deadlines. Unacceptable Work Sloppy work will not be tolerated. While the term is subjective, if all other members of the group find a part of the project to be sloppy it needs to be re done. This group will work as a team and present the best work possible. Our work will emulate topics we discuss in class. Each team member will hold one another accountable. We are all open to constructive feedback to allow for the best final project. Task Schedule The Task Schedule will be followed at all times, within reason. If something is to arise, the dates are tentative and can be altered. As team members become more familiar with the topic, changes Team 4: Jonathan Frank, Bryan Gallion, Karinna Hudyma, Natnael Tsegaw
may incur to allow proper time for various tasks. Nonetheless, the Task Schedule is perceived as a strict timeline for group progress on this assignment.
