Electricity
Hazard Controls:
Safety Awareness: electrical safety training (the Seven Steps) & toolbox talks.
Warning notices (labels and safety signs): e.g. electrical hazard
Safety electrical wiring: defective cables, plugs and sockets.
Periodic electrical inspections for DBs and electrical equipment (keeping records).
Trip hazard protection: e.g. keep loose cables off the floor.
Secured supply: locking of DBs and keeping all of their keys.
Proper Temperature and Ventilation: for closed halls/inside equipment/rooms.
Electrocution protection devices: grounding line, ELCB, GFCI, lighting arrester, &
isolation cables.

Outline Overload protection (tripping) devices: circuit breaker, fuses, MCB, relays, MCCB.
Electrical Live Work:
- Hazards Barricading: identify and mark out safe working area and danger zones.
- Hazard Controls Isolation of live parts: the LOTO, disconnect switch, circuit breaker.
- Inspection (unsafe conditions/acts) Safe clearance distances based on type of line & voltage carried).
Work Permit: PTW or LOA.
Test tools: voltmeters, millimeters, testing rods, hot sticks (which used for OHTL
