About MyCure Hospital
MyCure is a chain of multi-speciality hospitals in Andra Pradesh and Telangana. Visakhapatnam have
2 units located in centre of the city with world class infrastructure. It started in the year 2011 with a
vision to offer clinical excellence with expert doctors, high end infrastructure and transparent
patient care which is on par with the best in the world.

Why we chose MyCure


Within a span of 7 years the hospital is able to expand itself to 9 branches across Telangana and AP.
It has treated over 3 lakhs patients over 9 branches with 1800+ beds, 500+ critical care beds, 40+
Operation theatres, 600+ dedicated super specialty experts, 4000+ trained paramedical and patient
care staff. Hence, studying such an organization would give us immense understanding and handling
of complexities faced.

Parameters for Analysis


a) Anatomy- Here we would try to understand the hierarchy, size and internal structure of the
hospital.
b) Physiology - There are 15 different departments having respective committee. They monthly
decide the steps needed to be taken immediately and for future. Here we would try to
understand the decision-making process, information flow between departments and top-
to-bottom or vice versa approach. We would also analyse their process and protocol during
emergency and legal matters.
c) Psychology Here we would get perspectives from different staff of the hospital from
Surgeon to clerk etc. Their decision-making power, roles and responsibilities, handling of
patients, adaptability to advancement in medical sciences, risk management eg fire.
d) Philosophy- Here we would understand the mission, vision, ethics and beliefs of the
organization. We would try gather information about their further expansion.

Other Information for Analysis


a) We would try to understand the organization has centralized or decentralized decision-
making power, horizontal or vertical integration.
b) Entry-exit formalities for a patient. What kind of medical aids used on patient.
c) Retention, attrition and hiring rate for doctors, nurses, clerical staff etc. Doctor to patient
ratio and compare with industry standards.
d) How patient information is maintained and secured.
e) Review process for all the employees of the doctor.
f) Interpersonal Communication: formal or informal, Mergers or Acquisition of hospital
g) Quality Management: Whether they follow industry standards. Protocols followed during
emergency such as any natural disaster, evacuation process, fire safety.
h) Work Load of the doctors, any research being persuaded, patents etc
