Destination Jupiter By Seymour Simon This book describes the characteristics of Jupiter such as its orbit, configuration, place in the solar system, rings, and moons. It provides colorful illustrations matching the detailed text to inform a young reader. 5. Is There Life on Other Planets?: And Other Questions about Space (Is That a Fact) By Gregory L. Vogt illustrated by Colin W. Thompson I had to add this book into my library based off the on going curiosity of whether or not there is life on other planets. I would like my students to learn facts within this book then create their own opinions. I feel the question of there being life on different planets would be a great topic for a class discussion. This book includes facts about known evidence of there being life on other planets and includes generic explanation of some theories. 6. Mercury (Our Solar System) By Dana Meachen Rau This book includes various facts about Mercurys placement in the solar system, components and configurations, atmosphere, and orbit. This book contains excellent diagrams and other photographs to support the detailed text. 7. Venus By Paul Fleisher This book discusses the characteristics of Venus: its position in the solar system, configuration, atmosphere, its moons, and its rings.
