ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I would also like to thank all the Teaching, Non-Teaching Staffs of Management Studies
Department and Beloved Friends who have rendered valuable help in making the Project a
successful one.
The project titled “A study on Stress Management in Ramana Garments” was done over a
period of one month from July 2010 to August, 2010. Perception is a process by which
individuals organize and interpret their sensory impressions in order to give meaning to their
environment. However, what one perceives can be substantially different from objective reality.
This study was done to understand the employee perception with regard to various organizational
aspects of Garments. Primary data was obtained through questionnaire and interview. A sample
size of 300 was chosen using simple random sampling. Appropriate statistical tools were
employed to analyze the data viz., , correlation, and percentage analysis. From this study it was
found that the employees had a positive favourable perception in the aspects of working
conditions, and their value as an employee in the organization. However the employees had a
negative perception in the aspects of work load and balance between work and personal life.
