In this unit, the students will be learning the difference between

upper and lowercase letters in the alphabet and be able to spell out
words. A words list will be provided this for the students to become
familiar with spelling.

There will be a list of 10 words for this unit that will last 6 days. The
students will pick two words out (daily) for them to spell. The
students will go onto this website:

They will use this simulation to practice and click the letters of the
words and drag them onto the fridge. This is fun for the students
because it is designed to look like magnets on a fridge. Each day, the
students will save their words and submit them to Blackboard. Come
the last day of the unit there will be a link on Blackboard under
tests, the student will click on that link. The test will pop open and
the students will have to choose 5 out of the 10 words to spell
correctly. Once they are done they hit save and submit. The tests
will be graded and the students will be given feedback right away.
