Student Response and Assessment Tools
Briefly describe what will happen DURING the SRT activity:
The students will be using an iRespond remote to put in their answers after they have looked at each of the
questions. While students are working on coming up with the correct answer I will be walking around the
room monitoring making sure there is no problems with the remotes or that there is no talking. This activity
should last about 20 minutes and students that finish early will have the option to work on unfinished work or
read a book silently.
Type of questions/prompts used in this activity (check all that apply):
Multiple choice Multiple select True/False Yes/No
Short open-ended response or fill-in the blank Longer open-ended response
If you are unable to provide a working sample of your questions, please list them below (8-10):
Right/Wrong answers: Will there be right/wrong answers to these questions?
Yes No
Mixed (Some will have correct answers, other will not.)
Immediate corrective feedback: Will you pre-select correct answers to some of all of the questions and
display correct response to the class after the SRT activity?
Yes
No
Why or why not? I am going to look at the results with the class after everyone is finished. I want to display
the correct responses so students can see what they missed. I want to use this as a review and help students
where they are struggling to understand.
Describe what will happen AFTER the SRT activity? After the SRT activity we will look at the results as a
class. I am going to see what questions the most people missed and we are going to use that to review what
the correct answer is and why.
How will the data be used?
I am going to use the data as a guide to make another review before we take our unit test. Each piece of data
will play a role in the design of a new review in order to make sure all students are benefiting from the
review. I will have the students names covered whenever we go over it as a class so that no student feels
embarrassed if they did poorly.
Describe your personal learning goal for this activity. I have not used this site before so it is very new. My
personal learning goal is that I will be able to see where students are struggling the most and use those
results for individualized lesson plans. I hope it will help students learn by reviewing the answers and
understanding why they got the question wrong.
