Bhinnashtaka Varga
In order to evaluate the auspicious and inauspicious effects in day-to-day life due to planetary
transits.
Planets transiting Signs with more benefic dots will reveal auspicious results.
While inauspicious results will come to pass in case of transits in Signs with less benefic dots.
Benefic results will be predominant if these Signs happen to be exaltation, own, friendly etc. and
malefic effects will be ordinary. Similarly in debilitation or inimical Signs malefic results will be more
and benefic effects will be ordinary.

More than 4 points = Auspicious
4 points = Mixed results
Less than 4 points = Inauspicious

In giving Transit effects:

Sun and Mars will be effective while in the beginning of the Sign.
Jupiter and Venus while in the middle of the Sign.
Saturn and the Moon while in the end of the Sign.
Mercury is effective in his transit through the whole Sign.

Important Ages with Bhinna Ashtakavarga

Count using the specific/individual Bhinna Ashtakavarga Chart for each specific/individual planet.
To determine important ages for each planet.
We use three different equations.
[Counting counter-clockwise]
1. Count (add) the bindhu points in the Lagna and in each rasi up to and including the rasi where the
planet is positioned.
This will be the first age of greater importance for each planet.
2. Count (add) the bindhu points in the rasi where the planet is positioned and each rasi up to and
including the Lagna.
This will be the second age of greater importance for each planet.
3. To get the third age of greater importance for that planet.
Use the combined total of the first two counts/numbers.

These three ages become of greater importance concerning what the planet is a karaka or indicator
for.
Results will occur during the year indicated for each planet.
Example: If 48 years then years 47 through 48 years of age the results will be experienced.
According to the older text Saturn is especially important in regards to health.

Auspicious Directions with Bhinna Ashtakavarga

Best results will be acquired when we use the direction indicated by the signs with the highest bindhu
points.
Use the planetary karakas to find the best directions for activities and other various functions.
The direction we approach or attack will determine the outcome.
Example: Store your wealth in Jupiter`s direction [Bank/Home Vault].
Or things we use to earn/acquire our income [Vehicles, Resources].
The center of the house is the center of the chart.
The lagna is the entrance
