PRESENTATION PLAN 4
Reflection
Highlights
There were many highlights during my presentation. I felt that the students were interested in the
what I was presenting. They were eager to participate and answer questions. I was also relieved and excited
that after the physical activities, they were able to settles down right away. They also seemed to enjoy what
they were doing, which was the most exciting part for me.
Feedback
The teacher of the classroom gave me positive feedback. She said that she has been teaching the
children about health and wellness, so the lesson went along with what they were learning. She said that the
presentation was the right length to keep the students interested. She said that at times I did seem nervous
and that the kids can sometimes feed off that nervous energy. She said that I should work on hiding my
Managing Behavior
The students were well behaved; therefore I did not need to discipline or try to work for their
attention. They seemed to manage their own behavior, making it very easy for me.
Movement
This is something that I will definitely need to keep in mind the next time I do a presentation. I used
a lot of hand movements, but that was unintentional. For most of my presentation, I remained in the from of
the class.
Response Latency
I feel that the kids were always ready to move onto the next part of the presentation. I would give
them about five seconds between each part of my presentation, to ensure that they were ready for the next

portion. This seemed to work well. It also helped me to prepare for the next part of the lesson. When we did
the physical activities, I went over the directions of the activities before they stood up, so they were
Names
I did my student teaching with the same teacher whose class I presented in. However, I did my
student teaching last year, so this was my first time interacting with this group of kids. I wish that I would
have taken the time to learn their names before I did my presentation. They were all eager to participate and
it was hard pointing and saying, you, go ahead. I think it would have been more effective if I Knew their
names, and they would not have had to question if I was talking to them or not.
Positive Praise
I found that I agreed a lot with the children, but did not always praise them. After the brain break
activity, I did say alright, good job guys, but did not praise the students individually. I wish that I would
have because I am grateful for their willingness to participate in my presentation. Overall, I know the
students knew that I appreciated them, but next time I will be sure to thank them and praise them each
individually.
Changes
The next time I present something, I will ensure that I am familiar with the names of the people who
I am presenting to. I will also try not make it obvious that I am nervous, so that the group I am presenting to
knows that I am confident in what I am presenting to them. Most importantly, I will make a conscious effort
I really enjoyed presenting this information to the kids. I was very pleased with the outcome of the
