My 6 facts about our Christian journey

Faith
Without faith we cannot please God (Hebrews 11:6). When I read this scripture I paused and thought
about the word faith and why it is so important that it pleases God the creator of heaven and earth. In
my own words I broke it down to Trust. Trusting God with all your mind, heart and life. Its letting go of
what your natural mind says and believing what God says. From within, you can say I know my God, He is
watching me, He will never leave me nor forsake me, and He will be with me to the end of the
world(Mathew 28:20) He did it for Abraham, Moses, David, Joseph, Daniel, Sarah, Hannah, Easter, Ruth,
Nehemiah, Elijah, Elisha, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Paul, Peter, Jonah etc. I trust my God, He is the same
yesterday, today and forever. He will see me through this! Thats the faith that pleases God.

Holy Spirit
I feel goose bumps all over my body as I write about the Holy Spirit. Without Him Christians are no
different from an average person walking on the streets. He is the power that works within us, our
teacher, our helper, our wisdom, the closest friend you will have forever. When I die I will be separated
from my children, husband, siblings and friends but I will have the Holy Spirit forever. We need Him in
our spiritual walk and for Ministry. For me to make it to heaven I need the Holy Spirit, to finish the work
that God bestowed upon me, I need the Holy Spirit. Can you imagine how empty we are without Him?
How about how blessed we are to have Him! Aahhh, a Fathers love none like it! He knew we would
need a helper. My natural Father would never let me live alone in the house without a house maid or at
least someone to take care of me because he loved and cared about me. Same thing our heavenly father
did, what a blessing that we have a helper called the Holy Spirit! I will never forget one day watching
Benny Hinn on YouTube, in this particular video he had a program in Philadelphia and on the stage he
handed over the service to Jesus, only him could see and hear Jesus on the stage. He called out a few
pastors to the stage to try and get close to where Jesus was standing. As each pastor would get close to
where Jesus was standing they would fall. I was so touched, tears rolled down my cheeks as I was
watching. I remember crying out loud Jesus will you appear in my crusades too? And God is my witness
the Holy Spirit answered clearly YES. Thats how close the Holy Spirit is to us. He was right there with me
as I was watching (John 14:15-17). Another day, I was so excited about going to bed, got my clean bed
sheets ready, made my bed and I couldnt wait to cover myself, as I took my shoes off the Holy Spirit
warned me dont love your bed too much. I believe He warned me because He didnt want that to
become a habit that would result into laziness. Even in the simplest moments of our lives He is there
with us. He is our helper forever.

The word of God

The Bible is the sword of our salvation. It is our weapon against the devils lies or temptations and as we
read it our faith increases. There comes a time when the word of God becomes our only prayer. Do you
know that most of the gospel songs are picked from the Bible? Next time you catch yourself singing,
google the lyrics of that song, you will be surprised to see a scripture pop up. The word of God produces
strength, joy, worship, prayerfulness and confidence from within. When your mind is saturated with the
word of God you no longer pray or worship because the preacher said we need to pray, no, you pray and
worship because you now know who you are worshiping or talking to. You start looking at God as the
God who parted the sea because you just read it in Exodus, He becomes real to you, and you now see
God as your Father because you read the Abrahamic covenant in Genesis 12:1-3. You get the revelation
or understanding of who He is by reading about Him. Without knowledge of the word we are vulnerable
and shaky because we are ignorant. I remember my favorite class in high school was economics. For
some reason it made sense to me because I was reading reality. I could apply what I read to my daily life.
The more I read economics books the more I understood it and loved it. Same thing with the Bible the
more you read about God the more you understand Him, relate with him as your father and love Him.
Jesus
There is only one savior, He is the only one who died, rose again and is seated at the right hand of our
father in heaven. Salvation begins with Jesus and ends with Jesus. He is the only way to heaven. He is the
door, the bright morning star, the Lily of the valley, the good shepherd, the bread of life, the king of kings
and Lord of Lords. I love the book of John because I literally see Jesus speaking. John reveals the
relationship between Jesus and our father, the Holy Spirit and mankind. His humility and honor towards
our father (John 5:19-23), His own words about the Holy Spirit (John 16:13-15), He intercedes for us the
believers (John 17:20), His forgiveness towards non-believers (John 8:3). None like Jesus. His name is
victory, all power is given unto Him in heaven and in earth (Mathew 28:18). He is our hiding place, in Him
we live, move and have our being. He is the vine we are the branches. Without Him we are living dead
but in Him we have eternal life. John 14:20 shows a great revelation of our union in the Father through
Jesus. Through Him we have access to the creator of heaven and earth, the only uncreated creator.
When I am talking to Jesus, its like I am talking to a fellow servant of God. You see He experienced
everything we are experiencing on earth. As a minister and as a person. When I am interceding for my
loved ones I usually pick out His own lifes experiences on earth written in the Bible. I tell Him remember
the one whom you loved in John 20:2, I feel the same way about so and so (I mention the name of the
person I am interceding for) and talk to Him knowing He understands where I am coming from. That
disciple He loved was so important that we read about him in the word of God. My loved one is equally
important and I know Jesus honors my request and answers it.

The devil
One thing is for sure, the devil thrives on our ignorance. His number one target is our mind. You cant say
or declare what you dont know. If you have no knowledge of the word you cant declare Luke 10:19. We
have power and authority over all powers and none of it can harm us. The Bible says In Jesus name we
shall cast out demons, we shall lay hands on the sick and they will get healed (Mark 16:17). I will never
forget one night in my sleep the Lord told me to speak to objects when I woke up I was baffled, I
searched everywhere for the word object, I was still a young Christian then. The power is in our tongue
we can either release what is on our mind by speaking it into our lives or rebuke it with our own tongue
if its not of God. Another night I saw a monkey-like creature with a long tail, I opened my mouth and
said In the name of Jesusand I saw that creature walking away. God was showing me the power I have
over the devil. The Bible doesnt say when we get saved the devil wont attack but let him find us
equipped with the knowledge of the one in us for He is greater than the devil that is in the world. I love
Psalm 91:7, A thousand may fall on your side, ten thousand at your right hand but it will never come
near you. We have power and authority over the devil and he knows it!

Salvation
There is no eternity without salvation. On the day of rapture, the ones that are saved will be taken to
heaven but whoever is not saved will remain on earth to be tortured by the devil (read the book of
revelations). When we get saved we become a new creation, God forgives our sins, heaven rejoices, the
Holy Spirit comes into our lives and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all our sins. There is no
condemnation for all those who believe in Jesus Christ (Romans 8:11). The most important gift you could
ever have is salvation. Whoever calls on the name of Jesus shall be saved (Acts 2:21) There is still room
for you on the cross. If you have never received Jesus as your personal savior, you can, right now. Repeat
these words, Lord Jesus from today I believe that you are the true son of God, I repent of my sins, come
into my life, I receive you as my personal savior. If you have made this your prayer you are now saved.
Angels are rejoicing and I welcome you into the kingdom of God. However, if you are reading this and
you know that you are already saved, I am an Evangelist and I only contribute 20% according to the five
fold ministry. Whether you just got saved or you have been saved for a while, find a spirit-filled pastor at
your local church to consistently feed you with the word of God and encourage you in the Lord, read the
Bible, pray, worship and sin no more. As you do these things your faith increases. Remember without
faith you cannot please God!

See you in heaven!
