JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for designing and implementing ABAP based development objects in
SAP landscape. She/he will work with the functional consultants, technology architect and,
where necessary, with the end users to enhance, support and resolve issues in the SAP systems.

Minimum Experience:
Bachelors Degree in related field or higher diploma in technology with equivalent
experience.
A minimum of three (5) years proven experience in the design, configuration, testing,
debugging, delivery and support of SAP processes.
3 full SAP project life cycles of significant size, scope and complexity.
Successful teamwork experience and demonstrated leadership abilities are required.

Main Responsibilities
Support and Maintenance of the SAP systems

Develop technical designs and supporting technical documentation based on Functional

Design documents provided by business analysts.
Recommend and implement technical improvements to existing programs and interfaces.
Diagnose and implement system and application technical errors, repairs and bugs.
Design, develop, support and document RICEF objects in the customer namespace in ABAP.
Enhancements, maintenance and creation of DDIC objects.
Application of SAP OSS notes as and when needed.
Implement code remediation and corrections during upgrades and support patch
implementations.
Liaise with other developers/vendor associates for interface development to peripheral
systems.
Work with Technology Architect on creation of Transaction codes / variants / screen
enhancements and objects belonging to the Basis components.
Perform peer review and code walkthrough for vendor developments.
Perform other job related tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Desired Skills and Experience
Consultant level expertise developing technical designs and supporting technical
documentation based on Functional Design documents provided by business analysts
Experience as an ABAP/4 developer.
Knowledge in one or more of the following SAP ABAP areas: Data Dictionary, IDOC
message processing, and ABAP Object programming.
Perform code review and single point of contact for all ABAP developments.
Ability to co-ordinate and interact with multiple teams
 Experience in business process and integration knowledge in FI, SD, MM, CRM,QM,PP,PM
and HCM Modules.
Should have done at least 3 end to end implementation project and 2 support project
Knowledge in one or more of the following ERP modules: SD, MM, FI, CO, HR.
Very good awareness of entire SAP Net weaver landscape (SAP R/3 ECC 6.0, SAP CRM 7.0
and SAP Solution Manager)
Expertise with hands on development experience in RICEF
Reports (Classical, Interactive, ALV), Interfaces, Conversion (BDC, BAPI, LSMW),
Enhancements (User exits, Customer exists, Screen exits, BADI and Enhancement points),
forms (Adobe form and Smart forms), WebDynpro, Workflows, OO ABAP and Module Pool.

Having a proven ability to diagnose and implement technical repairs in a time-effective
manner is required.

Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills.
Experience in Web Services and OData to integrate SAP with third party applications like
(Service Desk plus and Mobile Technology )
Flexible and quickly adopting to new tasks/challenges and technology like SAP BI, SAP HANA,
SAP UI5 and SAP Screen personas.

Communications

Maintain close working relationships with end users, infrastructure groups, and customers to
ensure broad awareness of program status and issues.

Qualifications/Knowledge:

A degree in related discipline.

SAP certification will be added advantage
Working knowledge of Systems Lifecycle
Experience in SAP implementations
Detailed knowledge of SAP Solution Manager will be highly regarded.
