New Feature
Electronic License Support
EnCase Version 6.19.7 can read electronic licenses generated for Version 7. This means you are
not required to have a physical dongle to operate Version 6 if a valid electronic license is available.

For example, suppose you have an electronic license issued for Version 7, but you want to open
an old Version 6 case to review prior to testifying in court. EnCase 6.19.7 can read and recognize
the existing Version 7 electronic license, and you do not need a physical dongle.

Item Fixed
53139: Outside In hangs, creating a transcript of a fragment of a deleted and overwritten file
collected from unallocated space.

Known Limitation
52154: When attempting to view a WPS file from an external viewer, Microsoft Word prompts for
file conversion, then garbage text displays. Workaround: This issue is prevalent in Office 2007, but
does not occur when using Office 2010. Therefore, Guidance Software recommends you use
Office 2010.

FDCC Compliance
Guidance Software's EnCase product has been validated as FDCC compliant using these
versions of NIST VHD images:
1/5/10 (for XP)
10/19/09 (for Vista)
EnCase was tested using Retina Network Security Scanner, which is an NIST validated FDCC
scanner (http://nvd.nist.gov/fdcc/download_fdcc.cfm).
