I will be graduating from The University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire in December 2018 with my

bachelors degree in Instrumental and General Music Education and am enthusiastic about
teaching right away. I have an immense passion for music as it has been an important part of my
life ever since I picked up the flute and starting learning it seventeen years ago.

I have considerable interest teaching in schools of the diverse populations. When I observed at an
IB school and witnessed its extraordinary ability of inclusion and extensive opportunities for
students, I saw the impact education had on the students. As an educator, I believe that inclusion
is extremely important. In the classroom, I believe that no matter the student's race, religion,
gender, sexuality, or capabilities, they should feel comfortable, safe, and represented. As a band
teacher, I will strive for incorporating repertoire that represents a vast array of populations and
cultures.

I aim for excellence in my everyday life and will continue to do so as a professional educator by
creating strong relationships with the community, colleagues, students, and their parents. I will
give students the opportunity to express themselves through the use of music as they find
themselves through a love of not only music performance, but also the details and the learning
process.

Sincerely,

Kasey Brylski
