MUED 310
Preschool Reflection

One thing that went well in my lesson was that the students were generally interested in
singing with me and following along. Most of the time, the students were engaged throughout
the they were only loud and talkative once throughout the lesson. It seemed that they really
enjoyed learning the rain dance and they loved getting to help me count during the five little
raindrops songs. Something I would do differently would be to give more students a turn in
suggesting moves to do during the hello and goodbye song. I might also do the dance again so
that they can try it again after knowing the moves more. If I were to do another lesson, I might
introduce more songs about weather or have them do an activity that is art related that
incorporates weather. It would also be fun to teach them the song that goes along with the rain
dance. Overall, I really enjoyed this experience because it was a new experience for me to be in
front of a class of preschoolers and it was fun having the students respond to my teaching. I
enjoyed having the experience with leading a class and it was less stressful and more relaxed
because they were four-year-olds.
